perfect phones for people who spent most of their time on the road since they no longer need to look for the AC outlet anymore.

How do you charge a solar phone when it's in your pocket all day? Do you charge it at night by leaving it under a lamp that would seem like a bigger waste of electricity than charging it on a cord.

This is far from the first solar powered phone, an example would be the 936sh. Yes I know it may not be on sale yet, but it does show that samsung can not just say they're the first to make a solar powered phone

you've been watching a lot of sci-fi, haven´t you? LOL
anyway, the idea is nice. we go camping a lot and also spend the night in some islands, so a low-end solar-powered device is always welcome.
nice one, samsung!

I think this whole saving the earth is overrated. We just have to make it last long enough till we can find other planets and establish our space empire and join in alliance with other space faring empires.

Old news thats right. Theres been alot of discussion wether or not to make one. Its not very useful nowdays. Atleast when solarpanels are getting cheaper. I have 4,5 Ah battery with light and 3watts panel to charge it. So i can get alot of charing to nokia, sony ericsson, samsung and LG.

thinking about it, Why don't they have a little handle that you lift up and spin round, IE a dynamo, I have a LED torche that has that, and it's got a nokia charger...
You could potentially sell handsets that don't plug into the wall.
Never have a dead battery agai :)
(Maybe there is a major flaw in my plan... LOL)
