SE and Samsung have a lot of symbian devices as well. Which means, symbian is not solely owned by Nokia. Symbian is not EXCLUSIVELY nokia, unlike OS X that is exclusively iphone.
Anonymous, 25 Jun 2009The Omnia HD has an amazing sound quality with duals stereo speakers Including serround 5.1.
... moreAnd really? Why would I need stereo speakers for my phone? Again, it's impractical. Unless of course it can produce rich bass and true surround sound, but it can't. Just like that Samsung phone with a projector, LOL. It's impractical and a waste of hardware space.
The video quality on the iphone is just fine. It looks great for a phone.
Symbian is a good OS, but not as great as OS X.
Anonymous, 25 Jun 2009Omnia HD = BAD AUDIO !!
AMR Codec !!!
LAMEThe Omnia HD has an amazing sound quality with duals stereo speakers Including serround 5.1.
The AMR Codec is only used in videos, but how TF can you compare VGA in Lame 4:3 format which doesn't fit the screen + AAC Codec, To HD 720P 16:9 Amazing Quality videos + AMR Codec?
Symbian is one of the smartest OS for mobile phones, and has thousands of Third-Side applications and tons of games including NGAGE. How could it be a disadvantage?
Wow! Some of these comments are quite funny on discussing these phones. Bottom line: i'm quite piss at apple and starting to wonder if they and AT&T have formed a union on ripping us consumers off with the release of this 3gs crap. Still no mms as of yet and the possibility of charging extra for it! Give me a break. Another thing, what is so different with this phone compare to others that their system isn't allowing mms after the software been stored on the phone? Why oh why does apple release a phone with video capturing and higher megapixel camera and no flash? They just seem to act like they can't get it right and then release a newer version of the same phone and later realize (oops, forgot to install the flash!

You were really stubborn and don't really want to know the truth.
Go to symbian.org and you can see in there that nokia OWN 100% of symbian foundation.

as I said before.
this is not right.
iphone can't do this.
this is iFUD.
give me a scren shoot to prove your saying.
The Omnia HD is detroying the iphone 3GS in almost every aspect - Camera quality, Camera Features, Camera Flash, video Quality, Speakers Loudness, Speakers Quality, Battery (150% more powerfull), display size, display quality, Internet (reading flash), Graphic Accelerator, Second Camera, Java, Bluetooth ...
And whats the IPhone Advantages?
little bit faster? (The Omnia HD is the fastest symbian-based mobile ever created)
Expensive itunes Store?
The Iphone 3GS is far - far away - from being the best mobile phone in the market... And the omnia HD is not the only phone which destroying it.
And its price is also Lame.

no matter what, iphone won't be able to transfer video (H263/3gpp) from their handset, because iphone can't capture video. it's a way to silently cover their weakness.
You know what's funny... Nokia fan boys come by to the iPhone pages to bash the best phone. Stay on your side, keep your comments on your pages. All nokia and the others do is pump up the megapixels and they can release a 30mp camera it still wouldn't come close because it's running on the same old tired platform. iPhone came to revolutionize the mobile phone industry, and with this one phone it took the world by storm...let's keep the megapixels coming...as if that would help

Different people have different needs, and I don't think you should call anyone silly, bcoz I use phones the way I want as I paid for mine. Call me silly if you pay for all my phones and phone bills first. People are silly being those who can't even show basic respect to others' opinions.
"Case 1 - I was with my wife and we took a shot together at a shopping mall. Soon we realize something went wrong with her iphone and she wanted to take into service." Now why would something go wrong with her iphone? LOL. Even if your wife had a different phone with BT, how can she BT the file when something already went wrong with her phone? LOL.
She realized she can only dial contacts from phone book, but not any other number. Does that have anything to do with BT file / photo transfer?
"Don't get me wrong either. I think BT is nice to have as well, but it's feature that I can live without just fine on my iphone because I have a BETTER alternative."
"Case 2 - I had lunch with my colleague last week. She forgot to bring her phone and she used my Moto Zn5 for photo taking. After we returned to office, I simply sent the photo back to her phone via BT. No e-mail was necessary. (many companies like mine don't allow personal e-mail login) Sorry, my phone doesn't exactly have access to e-mail (actually on roaming), so did BT transfer prove to be important?"
Does your colleague take photos every lunch time or what? LOL. Well let me add to your scenario then. Your colleague did forget her phone, but then she wants to put a subject on the photo and make some comments and need to send it right away to her bf in Mexico who is in front of a laptop RIGHT NOW. Your Zn5 does not have a data plan, so she ended up using my iphone so she can email her photo to her bf in Mexico =) Your BT seems to be useless in that scenario.
How did you know her BF was in MX? How did u know her BF was interested in the photo of a desert? How did u know her BF was rite in front of a laptop?
Where we had lunch, e-mails can possibly scanned by the gov. but certainly not BT file transfer.
"And out of the BT topic a bit. This weekend I encountered another incident which I found a "treasure" in my mom's house. I video called my brother and shared my joy immediately. I wanted to video call my wife immediately, only her iphone doesn't support video call." Ummm hello, a simple phone call will do. Why would your brother need to see you face? LOL. REALISTICALLY, your scenario does not happen =) Want video calls? Try YM on your laptop if you own one. It's better and it's free =) And it's PRACTICAL. And you can video call as many times as you want, not just several times a year.
Seems like you had little experience with video call, because most phones with video call do NOT ONLY shoot people's face, rather they have a function call "external view" which one can shoot an object to further confirm.
Yeah, you may say you could take a photo, then send it via e-mail, and expect the other party to retrieve the photo. I think by the time I get all those done, I already finished my video call.
Plus in my case I was "searching" for something in my old house, how many photos I would need to take instead of a simple video call so I could narrow my search?
"Last summer I visited my grandma (who lived far away from mom, and mom isn't exactly in good shape to flyover to see her mom in person) and I video called my mom...again, my mom probably uses video call less than 1% of the time, but when I saw tears from her eyes when she saw her mom..."
Again, use a laptop. Video quality on video calls are not even good and choppy. It's IMPRACTICAL. It's more practical to use a laptop on video calls. But then, you are an impractical person, so suit yourself =)
Let me know if your mom / grandma can use a laptop....especially from a hospital. And how would the video clip be transferred on the laptop? 3G? (don't tell me wifi because it simply NOT everywhere)
I won't call u silly bcoz u love to bring ur laptop with camera everywhere, bcoz that's your preference. Whether or not bringing a laptop around all the time (instead of a phone that can perform many of the functions) being practical is also subject, though I know myself, my wife, my mom, my grandma (if still being around), my boss, my managers, etc...would NOT carry their laptops around like they do with their phones.
no flash with web broser
rubbish camera and no flash on it
poor audio quality using ipod on it
rubbish speaker, not loud enough
no file transfers using bluetooth
no amoled screen
average video recording
Apple sucks and so does it`s supporters, i sheep! baa baa baa baa baa
