Sorry guys, slightly off topic. I preordered on Clove.co.uk and was wondering if I should expect it to arrive on the 17th or do they only actually post it on the 17th? Never bought from them before
hi? guys does anyone know about how much will be the price on Samsung note 4 here in the phillipines.?
AnonD-175233, 09 Oct 2014In a nutshell, what I'm trying to say is that Samsung and LG are spec-sheet driven, not user-e... moreWith out being cheeky what are you talking about,
quality hardware experience:-
I5 casing light bleed
Scratched in noxes from new
Pink spot on camera
software experience:-
Maps fiasco (Trying so hard to stop thier competitor google from getting even bigger they rushed out rubbish as an app whilst crafting a video about the best user experience ever.)
Theres lots more but you read it at the time the phone was out.
i6+ hardware experience:-
The phone bends and stays deformed.
Far from premium look.. its almost a carbon copy of the note 1 that the apple machine mocked on every tech site they influence,
only its uglier because of massive bezzels and its even streched bigger than
the dom jollying note 1 ..remember, oh the bling at the back, the word tacky doesn't even begin to cover that faux goldy tripy.
No wonder they keep pushing a black picture with a pink flower on it ..bout as close to reality as a cooker hob face plate.
software experience:-
As a friends wife so aptly put it, she could not believe all the things she COULDN'T do when she left her iphone for her galaxy, as did her husband also say he can't understand why he'd stuck so long.
He had bought the lie that iphones were simple and they just worked,
like ..what part of ..push the text icon to text, phone icon to phone, web icon for net, and drag and drop facebook and whatsapp icon to the home screen and throw everything else in the bin you don't want on the home screen , email taking a one time half a minute to set up following a prompt.
The nonsense about samsung cheating on benchmarks:-
1 Put simply, was it a samsung phone...yes
2 Was there different hardware...............no
3 Is the phone hardware always capable
of that performance ie..nothing removed
only software restricted.........................yes
4 Did the people who handled the phones
in the shops simply continue to experience
the same performance they were happy with
in the shops at home..............................yes
5 When they checked a benchmark on
thier phones, was it really thier phone
giving those high benchmarkes.............yes
Conclusion they got what they paid for,
they got what they experienced in the shops,
they got to boast the actuall bench marks from thier
actual phone, and could reproduce them anytime.
A famous sports car is governed to 155mph, and thats all your gonna get,
no more amd no less, but, when the gps notices you have entered a track circuit it releases the governer and ..zoooom away you go, leave the track and....155mph.
When another make of fast car comes to the track and it doesn't have the facility to automatically release the limiter, does it mean...
1 the other car ,(which is non of its business really.) should be stopped
because the owner of the sec ond car is jealous thier car is limited still.
2 That the first car really didn't do the speeds it did.
3 That the first car manufacturer should be called a cheat, because the second and any other manufacturers decided privately they didn't want to give thier customers the facility the first manufacturer did.
No..the first manufacturer did what they wanted to do with thier OWN product..and when tested the phone or car will run at that speed off limit,
and, as the off limit speed was never shown in the shop the customer was happy with it and was never cheated.
Which is more than we can say for the people who bought new scratched phones with light bleed and defective cameras or bendy phones with falsely advertised map apps.
No the note line of phones are unchallenged by any current phone out there ,
thier list of features and user experience are second to non.
The gs5 screen was the best the labs had handled (The N4 maybe better,)
The gs5 camera second only to nokia best camera phone,
whilst on the video side it was better than the nokia(The N4 maybe better.)
Gsma praised the gs5 audio.(The N4 maybe better.)
The pen is improved
The apps are improved.
The exterior is improved
As for this lag nonsense and benchmarkes against the iphones,
1. We have all spent more time on this thread today, than all the milliseconds
Will add up to in a year.
2 Even a school boy can cripple an android phone for a video shoot with apps that restart in the background, or by using a carrier branded software phone with its bloat plus tens of other technical heavy fixes that slow the droid to a crawl for the video, whilst showing how open and fairly you look to have shut every thing down to make things equal.
3 Is there anything you can trust on the net. If it hadn't been for the honesty of Gsmarena to publish what apple did to the German company for not complying who would have known of what many already new to be obvious.
Nearly every publication and web site have to show a uniform front that iphone is the best or...no more pie.
If (Unbiastly.) the N4 lives up to its promise it'll be the phone to beat.

Speaker is really bad. The built is almost perfect.
Preordered mine on 3rd of October and they said it will be delivered on 17th so not a new news!
AnonD-228296, 09 Oct 2014hmmmmm i see alot of fanboy in this one!I know right, I'm such a fanboy that I love Android 5.0 preview, as well as the user experience of iOS 8 (aside from iTunes).
AnonD-228296, 09 Oct 2014no, i have a ipad 3 as well and its not fluid. stop being a fanboyMaybe you have a knockoff. Mine is iPad 3, 32gb, iOS 8. When I installed iOS 7, it lagged my iPad up like hell, I was so mad about that and wanted to switch back to iOS 6 but I could not.
I just updated to iOS 8 a few days ago from a completely fresh wiped iPad 3, and it runs pretty good. Tilting the screen from portrait to landscape causes some noticeable lag, but not enough to put me off.
AnonD-262556, 09 Oct 2014i cant wait more now... samsung u go n pee m busy buying iphone 6 plusgood choice may the bend be with you

No I can't wait that long, I have to go and get an iPhone 6 plus
The more the delay the less the Samsung sales... Many may not want to wait and thus choose other android based smartphones. Unlike Apple phones, where fans have no other choice, but IOS thus they must buy an iphone!!!

The majority of smartphone users want an enjoyable user experience, with sliding bits, fluid transitions and the whole thing. This isn't going to change.
I have an iPad 3, and the animations are fast enough that it never impedes me when I want to get something done. It is possible to have a beautiful UI that is also functional.
In Android you can enable Developer Options and turn all of the animations off. Should still be possible in Kit Kat, not sure about Android L.

AnonD-1825, 09 Oct 2014"So you can understand , it's Samsung that manufactured the A8 chip , so think about it .... moreThe i6+ is merely an ugly streched copy of the samsung designed note1 with a round home key, get both phones in white with the screens turned off and put your finger over the home button, even the o2 shop guy said he'd thought that... samsung design...icopy= samsung android response model, simple but true.
