AnonD-175233, 09 Oct 2014In a nutshell, what I'm trying to say is that Samsung and LG are spec-sheet driven, not user-e... moreFair enough. I just wish they could all (Android, Windows and iPhone) also make it possible to disable animations for people who are, sort of, grown up and simply want to get things done.
with vr gear from samsung u can expect even more than 8k as from close distance u can see difference. but i expect that there ll be someday battery-saving screen-resolution setting, so no worries.
Come on guy's, let's play nice, some of us love Android smartphones, some of us love Apple iPhones, but we all love the tech, so let's just all enjoy the wonders of these gadgets instead of hating all the time, peace!

Try this one list the ENTIRE SPECIFICATIONS of the Note 4 and then compare it to the IPhone6, you will get multiple, multiple areas where the iPhone6 does NOT have the features
Eg NFC on the Note 4 profileS on the iPhone6 added to facilitate Apple Pay, it serves no other purpose. Apple Pay generates 15c per transaction for Apple, ker ching
Gimmick Apple pay needs ALL these 3 things: credit /debit card, NFC terminal, iPhone6 to work, if any one thing is missing NO Apple Pay, so old school where Cash / Credit /Debit card still works
You troll Samsung site bragging about the very few areas in the limited spec portfolio where the iPhone6 is marginally (milliseconds) better
Apart from the non phone related Apple pay why don't. you ask Apple to explain why the iPhone6 is not just a larger display iPhone5.
I 2012 start an iPhone5 contract, in 2014 upgrade? to the iPhone6, evidence http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4910&idPhone2=6378
Those who understand mobile phone sites and comparison do not post puerile comments which can easily be checked

Re... more"So you can understand , it's Samsung that manufactured the A8 chip , so think about it .
Really think about it"
Do you even know what manufacture means? :D So think about it
Relly think about it
Hint: the A8 is designed by Apple not by samsung, samsung is only a slave who build the chip which Apple designed.
As much as I explore it, the more I come to conclude this is a very overpriced shitty phone, just like iphone6
This is based on my hands on experience! I spent some 10 to 15 minutes playing with it
1) Its very well made. The chamfered edges shine giving a pleasant look.
2) the display is just fabulous! Absolutely charming.
But at last Samsung is dump ! Sorry guys but I didn't like the speaker sound its the worst part of this phone I checked 3 units all sounded the same like shrill and noisy. I couldn't stop bashing at the engineering team at least make it sound like s5. Actually its OK if you keep the volume below 11 or 12. Or you will start hating this awesome phone.
Not another postpone pleasee, mine came in 24th, time is runing so slowwww... for those who said this phone lags, 2k display drains battery blablabla, just say it to yourself, obviously you're just another apple fanboy. Numerous reviews proof that this phone is a beast. A lot of peoples actually regretting bought the 6plus after seeing the note 4 at best buys so they're returning it. So if you're unpatiently wait the note 4 and get the 6+, go ahead and good luck with that ; )

Re... moreManufacturing is different from designing.
If samsung is so good then they won't be using SD SoCs
AnonD-175233, 09 Oct 2014That's because Samsung (and LG) are so spec-sheet oriented that they ignore everything else. ... moreIn a nutshell, what I'm trying to say is that Samsung and LG are spec-sheet driven, not user-experience driven like Apple is. For Samsung/LG, it's all about the specs.
Apple - for all its faults and restrictions in iOS (especially iTunes) - knows their stuff. They know how to craft a product which looks and feels very high quality (although they screwed up a bit with the iPhone 5's aluminum body). On top of that, they know how to put together a user experience (via software and hardware) which is consistent, compelling, and gives the user a great deal of satisfaction during use (stuff like fluid animations, fluid loading screens/bars, spinning widgets, etc.)
The stuff I'm talking about seems like a load of B.S. to people who only care about how many cores their processor has, or how much RAM there is, but believe me when I say that this 'User Experience' stuff is not made up and should sit at the top of things that manufacturers should focus on.
Google is doing it right with Material Design in Android L. Samsung / LG are doing it wrong with TouchWiz and LG UI (or whatever it is called).

The competition has 1080p? Throw 1440p at the next flagship, never mind the performance hit, the quality issues, battery hit, etc. As long as the numbers are greater or smaller than the competition, it will sell.
Bezels are too thick? Make them so thin that you cannot use the phone one handed without your palm hitting the screen and activating it. Make it 8 cores, just so you can say that there are 8 cores.
Benchmarks exist? Cheat at them. Gaps exist on the screen? Say that it is normal. Have a Galaxy brand? Make 200000 phones that differ only slightly in shape, size, screen flexibility and internals.
I dislike iPhones because of iOS' restrictions on simple things like... file explorer, being able to manually manage images/videos/music/documents, launch default apps, etc. But remove those restrictions, and I would consider returning to iPhone. Since those restrictions will probably never go away, I'm sticking to Android.

Really think about it
I got an email from Samsung 2 weeks ago as I had preordered the Note 4 from their UK store. It said that the Black and White models would be released on the 17th but the Gold model would still be released on the 10th. I hope this is the case as I've ordered the gold one (was getting bored of black phones).

"Even though, on paper, it may seem like the Galaxy Note 4 is considerably more powerful than the Apple A8 of both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the numerous benchmarks tell quite a different story. A number of tests were carried out, including Sunspider, Geekbench 3.2 single-core and 3D Mark Ice Storm Unlimited graphics tests, and in a considerable number of them, the iPhone 6 (Plus) reigned supreme. In fact, the iPhone 6 was also pretty close in the Geekbench 3.2 multi-core tests, which is quite the feat given that the A8 is only a dual-core offering"
With note 4 It's just big numbers on paper, with iPhone 6 you see real life performance.
I work for a large Phone retailer in the UK and the launch has always been on the 17/10/2014 so this isn't anything new.
Count yourselves lucky...
I'm in western Canada - so will probably die of old age before this Beast is available over here
:'S
samsung have more delay i can not wait more i buying iphone 6 plus.
Which cpu - Exynos or Snapdragon? It matters because one is 64bit 20nm whereas the other is 32bit 28nm.
