if you are thinking that if the phone can save messages and contacts on the microSD card? The answer is No.

The dual SIM worked perfectly in standby mode and the other SIM gets deactivated once you are on a call so it’s not ‘dual SIM active’.

I have purchased Nokia 101 yesterday and found it great. In this price range this is a very good phone to use. Display, keypad, sound quality, battery timings and signals ALL ARE FINE!. I recommend to get this phone.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-09-29 06:05 from sxvM - click to readYes it is dual stand-by. Both sim is active at the same time but I think this will use a lot of battery power so there's an option to just activate one sim at a time. Or you can choose to have both of the sim active but as I said it will drain the battery much faster so I would recommend the BL-5C not the BL-5CB for this. Unfortunately the package here in the Philippines comes with the BL-5CB. I'm looking to try 3rd party batteries if it's worth it.

> In reply to CARLO @ 2011-09-28 17:16 from t7BX - click to readThe sound quality is ok. I just wish that the phone supports playlists but you can organize your songs into folders and the mp3 player app is able to make you browse thru folders. you can also save songs into your favorites.

> In reply to bosjef @ 2011-09-28 02:03 from P@c3 - click to readThe voice call is ok the volume adjustment is the left and right of the scroll key or the navi-key.

I think there is minimal voice leakage and you have to really stick your ear to the rear speaker to hear the other party. I will test further to confirm this so please stay tuned.

One problem though is the chance it restarts. when I;m trying to view a message or sometimes when I'm typing a message. I need to have this serviced or replaced.

I would suggest you guys getting this unit to get the BL-5C battery for this.

On the dual sim capability, It's dual standby. You can also switch-off one of the sim to save battery. Sorry this is my first dual sim fone so I still need to fiddle a alot.

I also like the audio quality. I think this is just the x1-01 repackaged. At the minimum volume. The audio quality is decent.

You can also use the saved mp3s in the memory card as ringtone and message alert. Something that I've been missing since the nokia 1202.

I already mentioned the light weight that you almost feel like nothing in your pocket.

Message is 250+ but there's no message number in the inbox though so you cannot know how many are there so that you can delete the messages. I'm lazy so I just collect the messages so when the inbox is full I just delete all.

to bosjet... yes it has voice volume control. when ure calling just press left to lower voice. right to higher the voice call..

im just experiencing signal loss(no simcard) on sim1. i dont know why. but very occasional,. at first i think the simcard is the problem but i changed the sim but still i get no sim card on the sim1. but this day i dont encounter that problem. i have this phone 4days now. 1 No simcard display on sim1 for 3 consecutive days..

but for newbies like signal dropping they said. i think they dont know that this phone is not dual active. but dual stand by.

when ure gonna call using the sim#1 the signal on sim#2 will drop to zero because this is not dual active--- after ur call then the signal on sim#2 will be back...

> In reply to Mauragon @ 2011-09-27 10:21 from i4P@ - click to readHi Mauragon,
Thank you for the reviews. I'd like to ask how is the call reception. In the X101 I had trouble in hearing voice calls. It was very soft I could hardly hear it. to my surprise there was no volume key and when i check the manual it doesnt say anything about the adjusting the volume.
Can you give us further information about call volume/adjustments fo rthe Nokia 101?

thanks in advance.

This shares the same os as the x1-01 expect some signal loss on either sim.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-09-25 19:23 from t7BX - click to readSave your mp3 files in a microsd card. (upto 16GB) You can organize them in folders as the phone can browse thru them Every file is displayed including the folder and you can navigate thru them.

I have experienced a couple of restarts I hope it's not that frequent or else I'll have this serviced.

I think 101 is similar to the X1-01 or perhaps it's a repackaged X1-01 because during the demo mode the control keys shown are that of the x1-01. The speaker sound is good even at the lowest volume.
