i think its great and perfect phone if you need simple and without any nonsense your phone.
battery life is just greeat!
and what a best its work fine,hearding is top and so on.

I have read all the opinions. All you people crying about the Nokia 1110 not having colour sreen, camera and stuff are just ignorant. Nokia caters to people through it's different series. 1xxx series is the absolute lowest end phones for budget buyers who want a phone without the frills, 2xxx is for people who are on a budget but still want more the the 1xxx series. 3xxx series is for people who like to personalise their phone to the fullest extent, eg. 3200 & 3310. As the series # gets higher the phones get more expensive. So it's hardly unlikely that the 1100 series will sport a colour screen now or in the near feature. The 1600 has a colour screen because it's higher than the 1100 but it still falls in the low end range and that's why the pixels are low, which certainly will result in a poorer picture quality compared to other 65k phones from Nokia. The 1600 is far from being 128x128 pixels like other Nokia phones eg. 3200/6610. Simply because the 1xxx series is a low end series. The most you can expect from the 1xxx series is PROBABLY a colour screen and nothing more. So it makes me shake my head in disgust when I see you people BAWLING over MP3, camera and so on. I bet someone will soon post their opinion saying no infared or bluetooth. There are people out there who only wants a SIMPLE phone for calling purposes, that's why Nokia has a phone called the 1100 & 1110. Peace.

I see that it has a 4-way controller now besides being poliphonic and having a whopping battery capacity. My mother has a 1100 and it's a very reliable phone, great battery.

thewhole degine of 1110 is just same as 1100 it sees nokia now dont have interest in cheap phones

I am a grandmother and just got my first mobile,I live in holland and wanted to keep in touch with the family.I l got the hang of the nokia in a couple of hours.But the problem is that I can not recieve any messages from my daughter and son.Otherwise the phone works great.Is this because of there network,I use tele2 and all my sms go out and are recieved.Please help

this is not a phone for everyone however it is in no way a bad phone. It may not have a camera or blootooth but that does not matter to everybody this a simple phone with long battery life that is usefull as an everyday phone. another con to a black and white phone is that u can always c the screen clearly even during the day

Pretty decent design, I'm sure there r market for phones like this. For example, if every cell phone on Earth is a camera phone, army camp security would be compromised.. Being monographic may be a minus sign for most of us, but one man's meat may be another's poison.
As for those arguing down here, you all should take GP (General Paper) and learn to look at things from both side of the story. There is no 'Best' phone around nor 'Best' brand around. Its just different phones suited for different people.

this phone has a lovely design. would love to have it. would be really cheap too. another extremely useful phone from Nokia. guess the Fly Fly guy has disappeared from this page to go and whine somewhere else about how there is still no phone that can play DVDs and then iron his clothes in the morning.
