its a pretty good mob for its price its performance is great this is probably cliche but da torch isnt great n so isnt da earpiece oops frgot there ain't no earpiece this is a small problem but its k cuz i dont speak a lot in da public

its a nice fone for a bussiest person
i like it battery life i charge daily for 10 min only....
i like its peerformance except its LOUDSPEAKER

Its a very nice phone as compared to other phone of the same price range.
The speaker is actually at the back and not in the front i.e above the keypad.
This is the unique feature of this phone.
It has a superb battery life as i charge it twice in a week.
Some people say that it has software problems but you can update the software from the Nokia Gallery anytime and get it resolved.
No need to think twice before buying this phone. Just go for it.....

full charged it Saturday night, battery went dead Tuesday night - not bad :)
just wish Nokia can add these features in the phone, without sacrificing battery life:
1. hsdpa modem, internet/email connectivity
2. memory card slot
3. wifi? wow that would be cool
4. dual sim? wow! much cooler
no need for camera, colored screen, radio. just a darn good VOICE/SMS/EMAIL phone

Nokia 1202
GOOD THINGS
- Is very slim and sturdy
- Can use it as a simple phone
- Has all the basic features required
- Amazing battery backup
BAD THINGS
- Has a lot of software problems
- Does not come with a earpiece, so you will have to use the speaker
- Sound adjustments for your speaker and mic is the same. So if you end up reucing the speaker volume so that the person sitting next to you should not hear it, then your mic volume is also reduced drastically which makes the receiver not hearing you properly.
- If you cover the holes at the back which is for the speaker, then you would end up having a lot of vibration on your phone while on a conversation

Hi, I bought the Nokia 1203 (which I believe is similar to Nokia 1202).
THE PHONE DOES NOT VIBRATE WHILE CHARGING!!!
But if unplug, the phone vibrates already.
Did you experience that? I hope someone would answer me.

This mobile (Both 1202 & 1203) does not have an earpiece and only has a loudspeaker which also functions as an earpiece. This results in very low voice quality and also in vibrations during calls. When you are in calls with high volume, the conversation is very clearly audible to the person beside or next to you. I do not understand how nokia came up with such an irrational thought of removing the earpiece as cellphones are primarily meant for private conversations. Defenitely not a good idea for cost cutting, instead should have kept the earpiece and removed the loudspeaker. I bought this phone as it was similar to nokia 1108 which was one of the best models of nokia. Except for the earpiece the phone has good features.
i bought this mobile and returned it back to the dealer within a week and exchanged for a nokia 1209. I did incur a loss as i sold it only for half the price but its much better than someone hearing your conversations.
