Joseph, 23 Dec 2008the security code or the general code of Nokia 1208 is ''12345''is the security code also works with Nk 1200??

i buy new 1208 phone but the phone has no network..how can i find the network..
My dad bought one of these a few days ago. Everything seems to be ok except for one thing. The phone was bought with Bulgarian language as a second language. In the settings of the phone i can change the language to English, German, Bulgarian and Automatic. My problem comes when i enter the address book and try to type a name-the input language stays Bulgarian. All of the names stored on the SIM card are typed and saved in English and now i cant look em up. Any idea how to change the input language?? I tried the # button but it switches to digits and bulgariand alphabet. Any ideas are greatly appreciated

I think it is such an amazing phone> i had a D900i and it was stolen. so in the mean time I thought i would use a cheap phone.. well. i have never been happier.. the battery lasts so long. the only down side is that it does not support MXit. but well done Nokia. it is a fab phone
Yea!I'm also having the same problem!

The sms memory is too low!
It can hold just 70 odd msgZ ..life threatening!
Anonymous, 15 Dec 2008I had this phone and it keeps freezing and then re-starting for itself. I do not know if this ... moretake the battery out of your phone and check the little brass connectors that the battery connects to.I had the same problem with a similar phone and it was just one of those connecters not extended up all the way and movements would break contact between the phone and the battery causing the phone to turn off and on.gently take the tip of your finger and slide it across the contacts to make sure they spring up properly.

THE BATT... moreAre you sure you are speaking about the Nokia 1208? the battery in this phone drains very very fast, do not even last three days, and I am talking about very little talk time used on the phone.
I had this phone and it keeps freezing and then re-starting for itself. I do not know if this is a flaw in the manufacture of my phone. Its new, less than 6 months old. My friend also has a new phone like it and experienced no problems.
I haave this phone as a seconardy one, and it's the beast basic phone I've ever seen. THE BATTERY CAN GO ON AND ON AND ON! And that is JUST what I need.
I recommend it to anyone who's obsessed with simplicity and high-battery life!
crap! the battery drains so fast than the 1110i :P
i just bought this for my mom to use as an alternative phone.
text messaging on cramp keys. -__-"
Best basic entry GSM phone I have tried. BLC-5CA= 700mah while BLC-5C= 900mah still compatible with this phone giving longer battery life. Just for you battery-life freaks FYI
Maybe it's a result of too much text messaging, but the comments on this opinion site seem to be largely from users who are unfamiliar with the English language. How can I take a comment seriously from someone who can't spell or form a sentence? I'm not talking about OMG & LOL.I mean people that spew their thoughts all over the place and "have boughten a crappy phone and am return it". Credibility? I don't think so!
This phone is terrible, I can't stand it. It can barely do anything. The font is huge for such a tiny screen. The only good thing about it is the battery life is decent. I went all weekend with out charging it.
I can't wait until I can afford another sidekick.
Have had it a couple of months froze once requiring me to remove and reinsert battery other than that steady reliability. I like simple bar Nokia phones this replaced 3595 and a 6010 which gave several years of carefree service before keyboards got hard to use. This one looks just as rugged (both of the others got dropped into water and came out OK) plus the flashlight feature has come in handy on a couple of good occasions. Good battery life too.
Just don't expect features.
