> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-07-02 10:29 from nUH4 - click to readSpecs say:
General 2G Network GSM 900 / 1800
GSM 900 / 1800 are the two bands it supports, so, yes, it is dual band and will work in Europe. I don't really know much but I think most of US and China are a different story 'coz they use a different standard (different from GSM) or band.

Difference wouldn't be that big so if you like 1208, go for it; you can do away with a little less standby time for a screen that's more pleasing to look at.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-07-01 13:44 from TiJP - click to readI wasn't able to use a 1200 thoroughly but it's safe to assume that display type is the only difference. I prefer 1208 because of its colored screen. There is also a difference in the way menu items are being displayed. 1208 shows three (the currently active item is enlarged the next two items in the list are displayed in a smaller size) while 1200 shows only one menu item at a time.
I don't know the latest firmware version but my unit's version is 5.06 and is a stable one.

Two more questions....
when i see the specifications for Nokia 1200 and Nokia 1208, i find that both are having very similar specifications except the "Display Type". Is there any other way in which 1208 is better than 1200? I ask this since N1208 is Rs 400 costlier than N1200.
Which is the latest firmware???
