My friend have thisphone for 1 month rightnow and she is from the philippines. The phone keeps on restarting when ever she press "GO TO" can you help us guys to solve her problem? She really need your help guys..

Nice phone, very good battery and signal, but the keyboard is to small, hard to push if you have big fingers, and i found some software bugs, when i try to mark the options for right key the phone it's restarting. In conclusion, cheap phone, quality as price... Don't buy...

My 1209 was able to keep 89 text messages before it said Message memory full. I also noticed it has a brighter and clearer LCD than my friend's 1208 and my old 2310.
Anyway, both phones still have the software bug regarding the Sent Items where some messages remain in "pending" status even when they were in fact already sent. Once your Sent Items folder becomes filled with these "pending" items, you have no choice but to MANUALLY delete them one by one or you wouldn't be able to send any more text messages--a bug which has been around for over a year in the 1xxx series since firmware version 5.00 and Nokia never fixed.

Yeah Shadowed is correct, this phone's battery will last for a week...you got a problem with battery!

Either you use your phone excessively (in that case, you'll discover that almost every phone you'll use will have bad battery backup) or a defective battery (probably accidental) was bundled with your unit. My 1208's battery lasts for about a week.

I have this phone since march 2008, No problems until now, battery life is good, I charge only once every week, the sound quality is excellent. It is the perfect phone only for those who doesn't need fancy stuff like games, photo camera, mp3 player.....

I recently purchased a 1208. Overall, a good basic, I repeat: basic, phone.
My take on the 1208...
Pros:
* nice keypad
* above average battery life (approximately 3 days is my definition of average)
* as expected of Nokia --- good build quality and signal reception
Cons:
* for those with big fingers: small keypad
* low volume, specially for message alert tone
* some may find its screen to be too small for them
My unit didn't have the restart problem concerning the right selection key . Probably because it's a newly shipped unit with new firmware installed. Older units having the problem need to have firmware upgrades at a Nokia dealership.
