Great phone! Excellent Battery life!Excellent keypad! It's indeed a breather after using heavy & feature rich phones like the HTC. The phone adapts to user preferences quite nicely. A great value for money phone. Just INR 1900.
The display maintains itself even in bright sunlight. The alarm functions are great. The only drawback is the Bollywood ringtones coming as standard.. It would be great to have these in additional to some original Nokia tones. Would recommend the phone for all first time users & for those who need a second emergency handset.

@Syam and others who face problem with the 'Goto' function.
I brought my phone to the nokia care centre last week. They upgraded the firmware and the 'Goto' bug is solved. The upgraded firmware is V4.00 19-10-07 RH-105. The upgraded firmware also solved the 'profile' bug, whereby the phone reboot itself when you personalise and save customised configurations.
Don't think you can upgrade the firmware online. Better visit the nokia care centre for the upgrade service.

Any body found this as an issue.
while the battery is being charged if u remove the charging jack from the mobile and reinsert it.. the screen shows charging. We have to remove the battery to restart the phone

I`m low end phone lover, although i`m a manager now & I think I have to say thank you to Nokia for releasing great phone like Nokia 1208, the battery is strong, the phonebook is great & especially the flsh light, it can be used in emergency condition

Either this display is 4096 colors or 6030 has more than 65k display.
One thing for certain is that both of them dont have the same 65k display.
1208 has more of a ngage display

this phone is great for conversations, sepecially those users who need talk time a lot! great flash light for those dark moments!lol! You cannot download ring tones on it rather than the fixed tones but has ringtone composer...its a pretty good inexpensive toy phone....god gift for X'mas!!!

Hi! i find this phone a good one basing on your comments. My question is - Does this phone have a tone composer? I can compose tones by just listening to the music & can send it to you for free.

very cute cell.I bought it tonight but the problem is it does not save settings to the right selection key options when try to save options it reboots please inform me if anyone got solution. will it be replaced in warranty?

Just bought the phone last week. Bright flashlight and fantastic phonebook memory. :)Not much complaint abt this phone although it seems like some of the functions in the phone is not activated.
Any of you face the problem with the 'Go to' function, the function that supposely activated by the top right blue key? Seems like i am not able to mark items in the 'Go to' function. Whenever I tried to mark items, the phone reboots itself and all the marked items are unmarked.

Very very very BAD PHONE , no design ,no quality sound ( Nokia 1600, 1110 , 1100..is very good)Why Nokia do this , Why ?? ..Bad by Nokia .

a nice cell ph but...buttons r a bit had aint lik 1112..
LG kg279 or wht eva...gentelmen lg iz lg...no budy purcahase lg as compard to nokia...thts why thy giv featuers nt reliabiltiy
accessories n cheap n batery,,,buttons,,stong...n all stuff r gud...
