I bought the 1208 last week, very useful at night, my clock and flash light. Its a phone ok with long talk hours without recharging, less that S$100.

I bought the model in 11/2007. First the software was not properly installed for sending sms. After being taken to the Co's service center it was made good. a month later, the display is half covered and looks eclipsed. When taken to the Service center they refuse to do it under guarantee telling that it was mishandled in a falling, which i've not remembered to have undergone. My experience with this piece is unsatisfactory and unsavoury.

I bought the Nokia 1208 last Christmas as my alternate phone and I must say I'm really in love with it. It doesn't have a lot of features: no camera, no radio, no expandable memory, just a little flashlight, but it works great! It's light, it's small and handy and it's cheap! You can adjust the font size (perfect for those with poor eyesight - especially for older people), the tones are of mp3 quality and there are a lot of them to choose from. The only things I wish this phone had was connectivity (either infrared or bluetooth - because I use the organizer function a lot) and a bigger phone memory (for storing numbers and messages).

It's a 5-liner phone..

I just bought it today here in the Phils. and it costs less than 2K.. Wow..! Pretty neat features at a nice cost. I'm experiencing no problems as of now. Hmm.. I think I made a good decision on choosing this one. It's a neat secondary phone.. I have a SonyE W810i that runs on a different sim. 1208 is really neat. You should get this toO!

One of the best low end phones in the market right now. The screen is unbelievably pleasant (they say its 65k). The ringtones are light and nice to listen to (polyphonic). The design. Thats what i liked on first sight. When the keypad lights up (noticeable in a dark room)the blue backlight is great. But you might notice a flaw here. Around the area of the keypad, you will see leaking lights from the bulbs underneath. But its ok. Another great plus point is the flashlight. A great handy tool. Its better than 1100.
The voice clarity is crisp, clear and loud.

Only thing i noticed as usage problem is that the phone book holds only 200 contacts. I need to confirm this.
But all else, this is a wonderful phone. That for the price of SR 140 from Riyadh. Made in India.

this is not quad-band. it's dual-band GSM 900/1800 for europe/asian version and EGSM 850/1900 for US version.

Hello
Well my opinion about this team is good at low-end of telofonos cell is very complicated to find one that has these characteristics.
Today I have a poor but beautiful phone: Samsung C406.
Given that the most outstanding is the camera and is not of great importance to the use that I rate it, this phone (1208) is a good option for me when stolen in this way have a good team and above.
Bye bye

I have the following operating frequencies: GSM 900/1800 EGSM 850/1900 on the purchase. No comments on this of manufacturer’s. I doubt it’s quad-band. I bought Nokia 1208 in Russia, and traveled to Canada. It doesn’t work in Canada. “No network coverage” it writes even for Emergency 911 call attempts (without SIM-card). It’s a defective goods or this is consumer fraud. I have confirmation from Nokia Support that the one bought in Russia should work in Canada too.
