A guy there showed me how. Three hours later I had journeyed to Paducah, Kentucky. When I tried for my minutes, it wouldn't get them. Never did again. T mobile store guy told me it as Nokia's fault. To demonstrate, he put my Sim in a shelf T Mobile phone at the store. He recommended I complain to Nokia. I called Nokia. They said the T Mobile guy's test was not a fair one. A shelf phone from a Nokia store has the entire T Mobile system programmed into it but a prepaid does not. If I had not turned my T Mobile on outside the 20 county Atlanta area, I would still be able to get my minutes
from the phone. But once you turn it on outside the TMobile territory the store clerk activated it in, one can't get their minutes again. No problem, I get them off the website. I bought 100 minutes at $.10 a minute on2/2/09, I've still got 189 minutes left on July 25th. My original minutes carry over until October 31st. If I add another 100 minutes there, I can carry over the old minutes and the new for an entire year without a refill. That's a very good deal.

Also, get yourself google voice and text for free. I've never read nor sent a text on the nokia 1208, but since I've gotten google voice I text for free all the time.

Please whenever i want to start this phone it will read local mode, what can i do to rectify the problem?

hey friend. the first time when i use this phone i feel safe. when i use this phone my and first sim i use, i experience same thing that happen to your phone it keeps rebooting. when you write/read a text or browse a phone book it freezes and restart. after that i decide to change a sim card. there problem solve.

maybe ur having issue with your sim card try to replace your old one. and my friend i love this phone. hehe

it was a decent phone until after a while, great battery life for me, the talking was very bad though it would make a bunch of weird and loud screeches and cracks so i would recommend something more advanced lol

i think its a pretty descent low-end phone.have no problems about it.the batt-life is also good.i only wish the phone could store more sms and phonebook entries.

This is a good phone, basic and simple. The sound clarity is good and the battery life as well. I especially like the flashlight, its very nice. The phone is very reliable.

i totally disagree with the above notificaions i have this fone since 2 years. there is no problem at all. the message is fast, the buttons r spft nad its speakerfone is good , u guys should buy this as a second fone

this phone is very bad for texting.it restarts by itself when we write sms.message cant be send without any notification of sending failed.its battery life time is not more than 14 hour.its talk time is only 2 hour
plz dont buy this mobile.its my humble request.
