I just brought one Nokia 1208 at T-mobil prepaid option for $19.99/free shipping/free $25 phone card=130 minutes expires in 90 days!
For $19.99+your state tax, you can use it for 3 months with 130 minutes. I guess it is the best deal in prepaid market now! (Just came out to the market in a week!) I brought today, 6/16/09

An excellent phone for simple use. I have been using for over a year, and it feels like using a high end phone. Perfect for its price.
One known bug is, if the message box is full, then you must shutdown the phone after deleting some/all messages. Otherwise, you wont be able to send messages. But, its not that painful as a bug.

I just bought it as a simple and cheap replacement for my old Siemens. Well, so fare it looks OK.
It has Alarmclock, calculator, counter, stoppwatch, calender and more stuff so it was not that simple.
Even an LED-light!
You can enable/disable the key-lock with MENU and *
The cons so fare - ringing is a little low i think.
Else its a great plain phone with superb standby/battery-time of over 1 week easy.

I was a looking for a phone that I could use only for calling and sending sms and more importantly it should have long battery life. I donīt need internet in my phone..yet and definitely not camera or mp3 player since I already have both :) Moreover the Nokia 1208 looks good and its cheap.

Perfect phone when you have a more expensive model you dont want to get damaged. I am a Electrician and i own a Nokia 5800, when im out working i dont want my 5800 to get damaged so i got a Nokia 1208 to use when im at work, and i leave my 5800 at home.
i would reccomend this phone for the elderly , builders , electricians etc and also people that go clubbing and dont want the risk of loosing their phones.
with my model i have had 2 weeks battery with light usage and a few calls.
used heavily i get 4 days battery life.
one question for all you out there : Whats the difference between the 1208 and the 1209

my Nokia n95 crashed so while it's in the repair shop, I bought this fone to be my temporary fone. Simple and very easy to use, I agree battery life is long. What I don't like is just the font size I found it so big (it became 3 liner) but overall I like it, very light, slim and cheap.
