I got this one for my brother for a nice price. Menu is easy, better then other phones from Nokia that I have seen. And I played a tetris like game. Volume seems ok colors are good for a basic phone. Only used it for a few mintes because I had to activate it before I give it to him, so no full review.

I'm 99% sure that it is a 1208 beneath a different shell. It also explains why there is only a difference of one in the model numbering (1209 - 1208 = 1).
Though there are some differences when viewing spec sheets of both phones in this web site, remember that specs listed aren't 100% accurate and corrections aren't made immediately, if at all.

its good phone.it has sing tone(filmy)and ringtone.torch is very powerfull.any way good phone by nokia

you said it right man. people out there are simply crazy to compare a brillient basic phone with some lousy high end phone. afterall performance speaks not the cosmetic looks of other high end models. moreover this is nokia and that makes the big difference.

Dudes, seriously... what on earth is wrong with ya'll.. its a simple phone for simple ppl.. At the end of it, try to think, the main purpose of a cell phones has always been to call, and to sms.. now this phone can do that, so whats the issue.. to those ppl who call others "barbarians" for having this phone, i suggest yall go and be happy with ur N series.. As far as i am concerned, phones with all this tech stuff tend to get spoilt much faster than simple phones as this anyway. So seriously, lets just look at a few things 1) camera (phone cameras are never as good as real cameras anyway) 2) Music (the only reason i can see why music is important for a phone is when ur drinking alone and away from home). Of course yall have the advantage in terms of mobility, u have so many things on a phone, but again at the end of it, the purpose of a phone is to call and sms. So to whom this may concern, guys, grow up..

I just bought this phone and it comes with a charger type ac-3u. But based on the manual it should be equipped with a charger ac-3. Does it matter if it is an ac-3 and ac-3u?? I researched on this and found out it just differs on the output amperage value. My charger is labeled with an output of 5.0v/350mA. So may I confirm w/c charger came with the package when you bought this phone?

Hi guys, Its good to see many people agree to the fact that this is a good phone. I dono why those who wants to have HIFI funda stuff which they will not use are looking at this mobile. Am so glad that NOKIA is making mobile phones of these kind for those who cant find afford a costly phone. HATS OFF NOKIA!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good job

its so funny when i read all opinions for this phone, make me laugh... hahaha...
some people told that nokia 1209 --> barbarian phone, design by by the Nokia's janitor, hahaha....
Think again... this phone's very2 basic phone... Till now, Nokia produce gsm phone for low end, mid, and high end.
This phone for low end, low low price...
Not all people want to buy or have an expensive phone. And for some, to call and send sms is enough. (depend on your money too)
But... it has small screen... its ok for the newbie/beginner

Nokia 1209 has a reasonable price..a phone that is practical.. definitely for practical people living in this unpractical world.. and not for someone who is a victim of technology..
