Keys are very hard. Everything else is good. A nice phone for basic use :).
I am about to buy this phone as a backup phone. Just one question. Does this phone need an external antenna for the FM radio to work? Or just simple earphones that we use with the mp3 players will do? I dont want to spend again for the antennae enhancement.
This the the decisive thing between Samsung 1081 and Nokia 1280 for me.
How do i upgrade its software how do i connect it to pc i hve no usb cable.
Go to the nearest Nokia Care and have it updated. It's free as long as it's under warranty
I updated mine to 6.20 and the menu navigation response seemed faster.
i have been use it...it is so simple n very cute..nice purple colour....
This is nice cell phone good, and definitely amazing it can save up to 800 messages, and about 10 hours call time.
this mobile brings back a lot of memories.. ;)
maybe a back into the future thing but a full definition of what a cellphone should be [only if it's a bit thinner then it should be perfect but anyways no need to complain ;)].
it's quite a long time to have something that i know is inferior to my other mobile but can't help looking at it. it's really awesome to have that kind of mobile i had back then but brand new ;)
This is my dream phone.
The monochrome display and nokia ringtone brings back fond memories where the mobile phone was only used for making calls and sending sms.
Just brought one from a shop in bedok for S$36 for an export set meaning no warranty.
The phone feels good to hold and the buttons has good feedback when u sms.
This is better than the iPhone which cost more S$888 in Singapore. The 1280 has a touch light and super long lasting battery with 2 weeks before charging is amazing.
An iPod Touch 32G S$428 + Nokia 1280 S$36 = S$464 are a match made in heaven.
Nokia should not make the mistake of investing so much money to make phones that are just expensive micro-computers.
Nokia should go back to its roots and make good basic phones that do what mobile phones is supposed to do, make call and sms.
Thank you Nokia, well done!
Rodgers, 20 Mar 2011it saves up to 289-299 depending on your draft usageI got this mobile i saved more than 400 MSGS. but never got message box is full.
A great basic phone for users that is after the basic functionality of a mobile phone, text & calls.Has a very useful built in led flashlight. One setback is that when you choose either Phone memory or Sim memory for the contacts setting it will still show both memories. But nonetheless a very good basic phone I must say.
