cardreader, 23 Feb 2011just bought the 1280. i found out that the speaker at the back is louder when having a call. ... moreI just bought this Nokia 1280. Yes, I agree that the ear speaker is too loud that it can be heard on the other side. Is this the original factory setting or any faulty in this area? I like to know.
This phone is a pretty good shot made by nokia, let down by the signal loss problems and out-of-the-blue restarting.
The battery life can easily reach me up to 3 days of HEAVY usage--up to 6-7 days without doing too much.
I'm on my second 1280 now and still disappointed because the network problem's been bothering me... if it wasn't for the battery life I wouldn't have purchased this phone.
Ya it shows msg send failed... to avoid this problem resend the msg or delete the msg.
How many remainders can add in Nokia 1280 calendar? Pls reply who are using 1280. This is very helpfull for me.
hi i want to know about its sms writing speed, kindly tell m e about it truly and also about its prize and vibration alert.thanks
I bought one 2 days ago now its code is not working! I'm sure about it but it is still Giving "Code Error"
In my life after Sagem, Siemens, Samsung, Motorola and a Nokia 2700, here comes this 1280, and I must say: I'm loving it! This is a great phone for raugh-n-tough usage.
About the features:
Big phonebook and message storage is greatly helpful for people who has so many contacts and habitual in texting. Radio is fantastic, eradicates my boredom in city travel. Other organizing features like calendar, alarm, reminder, converter all are so much helpful in many aspects. Most of all - easy to understand and operate.
About the hardware:
I like its build, particularly the big size buttons which eases my texting operation big-time. The monochrome display is loveable because I don't need to illuminate the display to take a look at the time; also the transition effect sooths a bit more. The torchlight is tiny yet powerful, helps to see my way anytime the power goes out. And it is also fun while cheering in a concert =)
It is not a smartphone, so expecting internet will be foolish. However, I could find only one downside that is- while in a voice call, the back speaker gets louder than the normal ear-side speakers. The channeling of sound could be better!
Overall, this is a great phone and I'm pretty sure if anytime I lost it, I will get one again later (if it is available in the market till then).
