I have this phone as a replacement of a 6133 that broke, and out of 10, I would rate it a 2.75. Nokia rushed the assembly for this one.
Pros; Flashlight is cool, battery life impressive,FM radio a good idea for add-on when bored.
Cons (Ready?); Speakerphone is useless,(expected for $20 phone), texting an adventure with keypad too small for infants, sound quality was poor.
I normally like Nokia but, they screwed up with the 1661. I saw a like new classic Samsung T319 I'm picking up tomorrow! Pick up the Motorola W233 Renew instead, just $10 more at Best Buy!
Terri , 09 Dec 2009I can't seam to get the ringer back on . When I go to the menu I select Settings Tone Settin... moreYou need to set it back to default factory settings.
Get your phone numbers and other info out first and do a general reset
this handset is only £20 at vodafone uk and that includes 100mins and 300 texts.........FANTASTIC
hello guys i get the phone but could not be unlock in my country.am still searching for the software but to no avail please help.am from the GAMBIA in west AFRICA.The phone is exceptional with fantastic features.I really like the phone but i could not use it.
As of now this is the best budget phone of Nokia. Unlike Nokia 1202 there is no sound leakage problem in the ear piece. It has also a large colored screen using TFT display unlike nokia 1208 and 1209 which only using CSTN display. It also has a built-in FM radio as a bonus which Nokia 1202, 1208 and 1209 is lacking. The design is in classic form, sleek, slim and very pocket friendly, having the front side made of shiny plastic material thus making the overall look of the phone look-like an expensive phone.
I can't seam to get the ringer back on . When I go to the menu I select Settings Tone Settings ringtones and then it takes me back to Security code so I press 12345 select and I have to start over and one time I got to warrning tones on or off I pressed on but still no ring. can you help
guys, is it hard to type? i sms alot. still recomend this phone? it seems like the hard to type-loud clicking sound type of phone while typing. is it true?
a very bad cell phone made by nokia. only themes are the shining feature of this brand. the games speed is very slow and no new games and utilities are here in this cell phone. but 1 good thing in this cell phone is the incredible messsage memory.which is really appreciatable thing.
Just bought this phone for S$65 in singapore, its very nice user friendly type of nokia phone! definitely like it.
i love it! i do not know why ... hehe
but with a cheap price, it is nice. It's a reasonable price... :D overall , its the best colored phone! :D
I just bought this t-mobile phone for $15 bucks brand new and it came with 130 minutes. After tax $16.20. Good, durable, cheap, reliable phone. I love the flashlight feature on top of the handset! Can't beat it. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone looking for just the basics. All I want my phone to do is to call people... the heck with all the other bs!
poor very poor
is nokia studying to made phones
bad head phones
usb is not in the market
similar menu (very ancient)
look samsung e1210 or e 1160 and study how to make handsets
the phone is stylish but no advanced features as campare to 1208 or 1209..
from my point of view it is good phone with respect to its price but i think there is one of the best application in the mobile wcich is call time tarcker
through this application you can set the exact time that you want to speak and when this setted time expire the call will disconnect, try it, it is so beautiful application
you can activate it from : setting > Cost setting > Call trackers
the default is off you should set it to (Time tracker)to activate it
This was my honestly my first cell phone, not the first one I've ever usde, but I've been resisting the overwhelming push to get one from all directions, but finally found a great promo deal from a prepaid company here and took the plunge, got this phone for free when purchasing $100 of prepaid airtime with speakout wireless. It's exactly what I wanted in a phone. Simple, no sliders, no flip crap, no camera, no mp3, no fart buttons, cookbooks, or GPS, basically just a phone. It does SMS of course, and some other junk like a flashlight, talking clock, and FM radio, all of which can be handy but are certainly nothing to write home about in the age of the smartphones. The speaker seems pretty decent to me, I was able to carry on a conversation while walking down a busy street downtown in a major city and only once when a huge truck went by did I miss a couple words. If you want a basic no frills phone that just works this is a great choice in my opinion.
