I have this phone for nearly a month now and to be honest havent had any of the problems mentioned by different users so far, appart of the ring tone being not too loud when im outside. the battery last for 5 days and i text quite lot. overall good basic phone ad would recommend it.

I used the phone 1 day, let charge overnight, every time I try to turn on my phone, it asks for a security code even though I never changed the setting. So now I have no access to my phone except emergency numbers.
The store could not reset the security code and exchanged the phone.

Phone automatically resets itself when I try to set ringing tones. No access. Phone does not ring at all. I miss all my calls then iget a beep that i have a msg. When Iset the ringing volume to 4 or 5 levels it resets itself back to level 1. it also erases all my missed calls, received calls and calls made so i miss out on all my information. almost every othet time it is doing something else. Iam so disappointed in this 1661. I have had many Nokia phones in the past and have been recommending them. This one has to be tossed.

1.Turn you phone face down and up side down as well so you will see the NOKIA logo at the back pannel up-side- down.

2. Keep a phone in your hands Using two thumbs press cover down and slide it (away from you)

Nokia claims that 1661 has a powerful built-in antenna which gives very good signal reception. Anyone know how powerful it is? How far from the base station can 1661 still catch up with the signal?
