Excellent phone, Nokia is back to basic and fundamental use of a mobile: COMUNICATE. All of those ignorants that claim this phone is no good due a lack of data conectivity to a PC... well, if you are looking for a smartphone don´t look here my friend. I´m afraid todays users are all into taking pics, IM, browse the internet with a mobile. HINT: therefore we have Smartphones, dummheads. This 1680 is a great phone, I don´t agree on the price range, instead of USD 100.- I would have like to see this phone for USD 65/75 at the most (unlocked of course). My dear engineers, why a camara if no memory available? Why not Radio instead? Nokia should have a retro series... 6210/8310/8910

Excellent phone if your age is between 0 and 6 years old.Otherwise your previous mobile phone is better ,do not spend money in a new product that is not at all supported.I bought a cable I installed it's drivers, then I installed prolific drivers but nothing works on vista.Nokia replied to me today ,that they do not support a NOKIA PC suite for that phone!I do not know to do with my photos(without spending more money to mms).I think that this is the worst joke ever,or 1680's designer is a spy from competitors!!!
very very good mobil 1680 i like it so much it have long betry time
It is one of the worst cell phone that I never saw in my whole life.
Voltz, 29 Jul 2009I have difficulties retrieving my mms...Contact your service peovider (Network) & they will text you some settings save them and it should start working MMS.
I guess it could be better. Its good for basic stuff, but not for anything else...at least it was in its proper price range, under $100. I would buy another phone if I had a chance, just for the convenience of having other options available to use. This phone has a bad screen for using the internet and is slow...also I'd like to use Joiku on it but I cant :[
I'm not into phones but one thing i have realized about this phone is it is a stupit phone. Its true this is a phone for beginers but still some of them wont even apreciate it.
i feel sad when i bought mi nokia 1680 classic and i tried many ways to download pics, when i tired i bought nokia 2760 and bought usb data cable for this cell, download nokia pc suite last version, and installed also the software from usb data cable, and also download driver for cables from nokia site.

Worst phone that I have used in years. Very weak handset volume and no volume controls! Speaker phone is weak and quiet. Menu navigation is really slow and cheap looking. There were no good features on this phone. I do not suggest considering the purchase of this phone. I quickly returned mine.

Peter, 28 Jul 2009Hi Mark, thanks for your continuous efforts! I have the same cable as your first, though m... morePeter, I recently found my lost N1200 data cable (I believe it's the same type that you have, from a Hong Kong seller). Because it no longer works, I cut open the USB plug with a razor blade. In case you're still interested in how the wires are connected, inside the plug is a circuit board having what appear to be a quartz crystal, a resistor, two capacitors, and an IC chip covered by a blob of glue. The red, orange and blue wires are connected to foil pads on the circuit board numbered 4, 6, and 12, respectively. Since my last posting, I also sent back the defective MYBAT cable to the U.S. seller and received a free replacement. Both of my MYBAT data cables are now working fine with my 1680c-2b phone.
easily sed your pictures to an email address and save them to your computer:)
