This phone was my first phone, and it really has some technology built on it, that either iphone does not have today, like monochrome graphics, monophonic ringtones, "0" radiation activity, and wot is the best out of it, it never explodes like iphone actually does unexpectedly lol.
joydip.., 20 Dec 2009is this first phone in nokia?? reply me ... 9804500761No. As far as I know this is Nokia's 3rd phone.
NOKIA, please please reissue this phone...
at least for the emerging markets...
this was my first mobile phone. the company i worked for issued it to me and because mobile phones were not common during does day (june 1996), I waa ashamed to ask how to use it in my office because not one of my co-employees had a mobile phone, so i just placed my new phone complete with the box and accesories inside my car trunk for the next 3 days.
it was a very hi-tech phone during does days considering it had test messaging capability already and it was a GSM phone.
This phone is one of my best creations i have ever made. and as a matter of fact i am using it even up till now.
I dont think i could go back to these days lol. When there are phones like the n900 on the market now no no no lol.
I have a phone like this, it is called a Nokia 5.1. It is on the Orange network. It is simple to use and is quite lightweight, though very bulky in my opinion. I think bulky phones are good because they are tougher than smaller phones. Though the battery is awfull. The worst I've seen in any phone.
I had this phone in 1996. Though at that time 3110 was also introduced and mobiles had arrived in India an year prior to it, the mobile technology was still in nascent stage. It was so sturdy & heavy duty that you could use it to hammer a nail without damaging a bit of it. Nokia also had a commercial highlighting this point. There was an era when very very few people, one in ten thousand perhaps, had mobile in their possession. It was a huge status symbol. Tariff was flat Rs. 6.66 per minute outgoing or incoming. No phone available today can match the style this phone added to a person about 14 years ago.
