But at that time the flip open way was cool (can you imagine it) and made you feel like you have just arrived from Star Trek!!!

I had one like this, was demn effing expensive, but it was so great, and light weight, and it was my first ever GSM phone. Imagine, less than quater of a kilo and still the battery could last more than a day! Was a big upgrade from my NMT900 Nokia 101 at a third of a kilo and 12-16 hours standby.
2110 was very advanced in -95, bleeding edge technology. It didnt have much competition back then, it was just too good for the competition.

This is a great phone, I use it as my main phone every day (my high-tech Palm Treo Pro (touchscreen, Microsoft Office and all that) spends more time being repaired than with me). You can synch it with your ocmputer, text, divert calls, send fax/data calls and even set personal reminders. It's got a fitting at the top for you to attach a carry strap to and...
...this was the first ever phone to have the "Nokia" ringtone
