Basic fone is still enough for many people. There's nothing wrong with this fone, I think the problem is with these narrow-minded people who think all people like to waste their day with their feature-packed fone, like listening to mp3 and shooting pics on everything they see. Pathetic. Get a life.

I have N95 8GB but the only reason why I love this phone is battery life and talk time. Kicks my mobile's but haha 1 advantage of cheap Nokias. Anyway every Nokia is extremely reliable (except N93) lol haha

I agree w/ kstoer.

Bluetooth can be used for copying contacts or mp3 tones.

There is no country in the world that has a population consisting of 100% rich/mid-class citizens. Also, I have well-to-do friends who own low-end phones. Besides there is no law in any country in the world banning the sale of low end phones within its territory.

Many people will be content with having this phone given its features.

for its design: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

for those who disagree:
1) You're narrow-minded idiots.
2) Further bashing will prove #1; I won't waste time and effort on counterattacks. If you'd ask why, refer to #1.

for those who agree: Just for fun, keep count of the pea-brains who are honest enough to prove themselves.

fyi, I'm in the mobile phone business myself, but i like my htc tytn2 a bit more than a nokia n95!
Anywayz, as you were saying the nokia 2600 is indeed announced all over the world, but as is stated in the announcement on this great webpage and I quote: Today Nokia unveils two budget handsets that offer a range of handy features for consumers in emerging markets. Nokia 2600 classic and Nokia 1209 are targeted at emerging markets and make the most out of features such as multiple phone books, calls cost tracking, prepaid credit tracking, etc.

Need I say more?

Besides that, what's wrong with a simple to use, cheap to buy lean on features phone for users in western countries like here in the netherlands, I've got a whole bunch of customers still using the Nokia 3310, because it doesn't have any features and is build for what a phone is build for in the first place: Calling people!

Do you guys understand for whom this phone is made??? This phone is targeted at emerging markets: DEVELOPMENT COUNTRIES! These guys are not interested in memory cards, photocamera's, mp3 etc. They just want a phone for.... ehg... calling... just like we used to back in the ninties. So shut up with lame comments like this phone has bluetooth but no memory, what do you want to transfer??? Ever thought about using it for your headset??? I think it is an excellent phone for it's purpose, especially the battery life, imagine not having a wallsocket in your home to charge your phone every night. Try using a N95 then!
