I'm a faithful nokia follower but i was really disapointed in this phone.
After my last basic nokia phone kicked the bucket, i sought out another basic nokia phone, just upgraded.
After I took the phone home I realized how much I disliked this phone. The first thing I noticed that you have to go through a few more clicks just to send a text message. which isn't that much but when you are texting a lot or wanting to send something really fast it gets in the way.
The backlight goes off really fast too so when i'm playing sudoku i have to keep clicking the arrow pad just to see what i'm doing. as far as i know there isn't a way to extend how long its on.
Another biggie annoyance is that during the day outside the glare is so bad you can't see the screeen until you go indoors or under some shade.
And this might be only my particular phone but on a regular basis the phone shuts off on its on accord. The sound also will cut out so i can't hear the other person but they can hear me, and i won't know my phone is ringing unless i see it on the screen. the only way to fix it is to turn it off and on again.
definitly not recommend this model.

Bought it today. Very simple phone tat running with a basic S40 platform. Here's what i like about it :-
+ Light Weight
+ Acceptable loud ringtone
+ Simple keypad
+ Good overall built
+ Clear earpiece volume
For those who want FM Radio, go get its sibling model which is the 2626...not 2610!

To naser:
You cannot configure the GPRS/MMS settings of this phone model manually because it needs exact configuration settings which you can obtain from your celullar network provider. Best thing for you to do, is to call the customer service hotline of the network just like what I did. I also had that problem. I even called them twice. Try this. This will really works.. Good luck..

Quite possibly the most indestructable phone I've ever come across... I never realised nokia made phones for deep sea divers. Went swimming in a lake for over an hour and a half with the phone in my swimming shorts, and it still works like a charm!!

Yea, you can't see the screen in daylight? Great phone for a vampire, as it's durable, light, easy to use, and you can really only see the screen at night. Why in the world would Nokia fail to simply put a brightner on the screen options. All they have is a contrast option - which makes it even harder to see.

Hey, I've just bought the phone...looks great, just one thing. Have u tried to charge the battery while the phone is off? I did, and I can't see the indicator bar moving. My father has the same phone, and neither him can see it.
But apparently it charges. However, how do you know if it's charged when is off??
