Well, it's hard to say, really...maybe some of the more basic models, which are cheaper, albeit with less functions, which, I guess, older people won't use anyway...I'd go for 2610, or 5070, or 6070, they're all nice, basic phones, with good screen and nice keys to press.

I guess that depends what he/she is going to use it for. It's ok for basic functions, such as making calls, though I found it a bit user-unfriendly for typing sms, it takes some time getting used to its size and flat keys. Maybe not the best choice for the elderly.

You don't need a USB cable, you can easily transfer anything you need via Bluetooth. If your pc doesnt have BT feature, get a dongle, and that's it.

i think dat this mobile iz jst gr8..got it as xmas gift..n i jst luv it..bt am feeling bad because we hv to buy the usb cable seperately..it wud av been gr8 if we gt it free..bt i luv my mobile!!!

I have buy Nokia 2630 on 24.12.2007
today is 29.12.2007 and the phone is on the SERVIS!:(
Now I know 100% that this MOBILE PHONE is
B A D!:(

Veri nice phone.
Battery is poor (only 2 days after 2 charging) with BT on and almoast 70 min talk.
But the best think is the design and is light. I love thise phone.
I don`t need camera, radio or mp3.
I only use the bluetooth and agenda (upgrade from 6021).
Thise is a second phone ... i have an N73 for music, pictures and radio if i need.
I recomand like a light and smooth phone more then 6300.

You've posted that 3110c comparison 3 times now, and it's not relevant. Where I live the 3110c costs twice as much, and all the extra features you mentioned are of no use to me. Lots of people don't care about expandable memory or MP3 player capability. But they do want thin and light phones.

Seriously... every time a company makes an affordable phone, you always get someone on here saying "it's rubbish, doesn't have blah blah blah". The fact is that everyone wants different features, and I've never met anyone who enjoys paying for features they won't use.

Don't like the phone's lack of features? Buy something more suited to you and quit moaning.

I am a very good nokia user. My suggest is nokia 3110c is batter than nokia 2630.bcoz if u increase few money then u get nokia 3110c.
Great differences of Nokia 3110 classic and Nokia 2630:
1. Nokia 3110 classic has 1.3 megapixel camera (1280x1024 pixels) while Nokia 2630 only have a VGA camera (640x480 pixels).
2. Nokia 3110c has a more vibrant 256k colors active TFT display while Nokia 2630 only have 65k colors TFT display.
3. Nokia 3110c has a Mp3 player while Nokia 2630 DOESN'T have.
4. Nokia 3110c has an infrared while Nokia 2630 DOESN'T have.
5. Nokia 3110 classic's memory is expandable up to 2GB through the use of Micro SD cards while Nokia 2630's memory is NON-EXPANDABLE.
But this Nokia 2630 is more stylish and slim than Nokia 3110c though..
To ALL PEOPLE READING THIS:
BE WISE in choosing a phone to buy. Don't let the looks of a mobile phone fool you. Consider also the features and not just the looks! I recommend Nokia 3110c is best than this Nokia 2630.

thank you. but i've charged it for more than 12 hours. when i turned on the phone, the battery level doesn't move. but the battery is getting lesser and now it has gone... i think it must be the battery or charger problem. need to go to Nokia centre asap. feel very dissapointed as i'm very excited to have this phone

And i forgot something to tell you people. Nokia 3110 classic's video is INFINITE/UNLIMITED depending on the available memory. When in 1GB memory, you could record up to 12 hours of video and this would consume 750MB.. And still, if you use 1GB micro SD, you can store up to 200 songs if in the Mp3 format and more or less 500 songs when in M4a format.
