I bought 3108 @ Sharjah Airport in Feb. 2004. In Mar. 2004 it started giving problems i.e. on/off switch stop working, shutting down automatically. The phone was sent back to the seller who refused to do anything like replace , repair or some solution. I'm totally disappointed. Are there similar victims ?

tips on buying a nice and efficient phone:
1. Features: mkes sure it has Bluetooth, Xhtml and WAP for easy of tranfering data.
2. Display: 4k is Gud for pipol who just wnt to hve a colored phone but for those who love to get pictures anywhere 64k is much better and make sure it display 640x480 to fit into ur pc.
3.size and shape: the more the smaller the better! but if u hve huge thumbs mke it big... jst kiddin!
4.Brand: it doesnt matter which is which, just be a gud observer and a critic.
5. Be a wise guy! many phone r just in d luks but when u bought it u definitely dnt like it...
6. Lastly Make sure that when ur buying a phone it FITS IN YOU! your self and your lifestyle.

Awsome fone! It is beautiful to look at and handle. It is perfect for someone who just wants a super fone with a PDA.
And handwriting recognition is incredable.I'll stick to my real camara for good pictures until the fone ones become worthwhile.

What's the point in ir. Could use some bt though. The touchpad could be a good thing, if it had a bigger screen.

To all Nokia staff / designers,
I think you lost it here. This are what most consumers want in a phone:
1. Bluetooth -- to easily share files such as sounds, pictures, and phonebook or calendar, or other stuff easily with other mobile users. Others (usually kids and teens) use it to play games with others.
2. Infrared -- okay, it really is just a back-up connectivity option / feature, but it still is useful.
3. Camera -- preferably VGA. To catch those precious moments. Others find even better uses. I read a guy in a convenience store got a picture of hte guy who robbed the outlet, and the robber was eventually caught.
4. 65K or higher screen res. -- cmon, wats the use of putting a blurry, low res. colored screen on a phone?
5. GPRS, iMode, WAP browser, e-mail client, sync., all those internet functions.
