Price is probably going to vary by region. I paid a bit over $200 Australian for my phone.

Standby time is much improved without the memory card in the phone. Two and a half days and my battery indicator is still showing full.

Guess this is part three...

To answer the question on soud quality, it is surprisingly good for a mobile phone. The speaker has more bass than my previous phone (a Nokia 6101). Music actually sounds half decent on it, even using the M4A format. Then again it's a phone that's trying to be a music player, so quality is not going to be there when comparing it to a deicated MP3 player. The headphones sound allright, but not as good as my Sony ear buds I have for my MP3 player, but you get that. The best equaliser curve to use is the Pop curve as it boosts both bass and treble.

Another thing I've found is that I've been getting nowhere near the claimed standby times with this phone. I've not been using the music player so I think it's the presence of the memory card so I'm leaving it out to see if standby times improve. Without the memory card I have noticed that the turn on time is faster, I might be on to something.

Stand by for part four...

An update: Having played with my phone for a while now, one thing I've found is if you fill up the memory card with music (I've put 1.5GB of music on a 2GB card), the music player takes a while to start up the first time. Also, turning the phone off resets the music player and it has to re-load all the music when you turn it on for the first time. If you plan to use the music player a bit and have lots of music, don't turn the phone off unless you have to.

I also had problems with the Nokia Music Converter running under Windows Vista - it wouldn't convert the music in my PC library to the M4A format. Under XP there was no problems. I was using the latest version of PC suite (6.84) on both operating systems.

Received mine today. Haven't played with it much but so far, worth the wait. The sounds from the loudspeaker sound fairly full for a speaker of the size - not lacking in bass like the 6101. The phone is what I've been looking for and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants a decent phone without a camera.

Does it have a 3.5 mm jack-in or 2.5 mm?
mobile-review say it has 2.5 and that would really turn me off.

I have Nokia 3110 Classic. Perfect phone for me. When Nokia 3109 released I will buy for my father. He is still using Nokia 3100.

I can't understand why the ... anyone would want tobuy this phone... It has almoast no features at all...i mean....ok: no camera - i coud live withouth it...
but nou even radio..small screen... i don't know if i can say it is better than 3100, the only +s are a slightly bigerr screen and card slot...

and the price (at least where i come from) is way above it's capabilities...
few extra dollars and you can get an n70 for that money
