This phone is virtually the same as the Nokia 3390, which is the phone I had. Like another Nokia I brought later, the 3595, it worked fine in the beginning, and later on is when I began to have problems with it. It had the tendency to cut itself off, sometimes right in the middle of a phone call. I doubt if many folks will be buying this phone today. But BEWARE of it if a service provider tries to give it to you as part of a plan, or as a pre-pay, which is where it is more likely to surface...insist upon something else. Nokia phones usually are very durable but this phone is a piece of junk.

wow i've had this phone for almost 3 years now. this phone is very durable and still works. it's great! this phone does not have many features, but it has served well as functioning as a phone for me. although this phone works well, i'm thinking it's time for me to get a new phone.

This phone is solid, no nonesense and simple to use. Makes the perfect spare/backup phone when your expensive latest model handset decides to break down. Currently using mine while my Samsung E700 acts as a paper weight on my desk...

It surely is the BEST PHONE ON THE PLANET. Thats why its still in demand, at least here in India. People who only want a decent phone with nothing special still look for this phone here, and why not, as I said its the BEST...Peace...

I am retiring my 3310 after 4 years! Finally it started chewing up batteries and I'm fed up with charging up daily. Farewell my old friend.

hi there people. For me nothing beats this phone. you can brag all you want but no force on earth can uncling me with my 3310. If you want a camera, buy a separate one. If you want MP3s, get an MP3 player. You know, every thing in this world has to have its own unique role. So don't argue with me. Viva 3310!Ü

Yes, unfortunately since the 3310 Nokia have gone down hill, in my opinion.
I've had my 3310 for 3 years, and my battery is playing up as well. I have my eye on a new phone, which I will hopefully have in a few weeks. I want to hold out with my nokia, but I can't afford to have a phone up and die on me suddenly. Goodbye 3310!

Got rid of 3310 a couple of months ago after 3 years of faithful service. After about two years the battery started packing in, so I bought a new one. However, the problem persisted. This was due to the fact that it wasn't the battery that was faulty, but the connectors in the phone. If your Nokia is doing this then you might as well consider getting a new phone as a replcement battery (if you can even find one) won't help. It got to the point with my 3310 that I couldn't even take a call because the phone died. It seems the Nokia 3310 is almost dead and buried, which is a shame, because it marks the end of an era with Nokia. A time when they produced reliable handsets that you could count on not to be destroyed when dropped or exposed to water. When the signal was at its best. Good bye 3310. We'll miss you.

I have NOKIA 3390 (SAME as 3310, only for USA).
THE BEST OUT OF ALL NOKIA PHONES SO FAR!
6310i just as good ( only stronger batter life and triband).
PROS of 3310:
-Monophonic ringers
-Loudest ringers I ever heard
-The smoothest and clearest GSM voice clarity
-Decent battery life: 3.00 talk time ( little more than a day of standby)
-Durable ( dropped 10 times, on the floor on the concrete and still works without any buggs).
UNFORTUNETLY only the very NEW phones models
of NOKIA and Samsung ( like Samsung P730, Nokia 6681, Samsung d500, can be compared by ringer quality and loudness, voice quality and durability to Nokia 3310)
It's a shame that 3390 ( the american 1900 twin of 3310) has been discontinued from USA market.
