I have this phone and have had it for a long time now. Bought it back in 98' when they first came out, as it was really a breakthrough phone; having a graphical screen, games, interchangeble covers, a large range of ringtones and text messaging. I can't remeber any phones in 1998 to include all of this and even most phones in 99' still didn't have all these advanced features. A great phone which is in great working order today. Buttons a bit dodgy. Have to press them hard, but other than that, a great phone!

I still remember d time when Nokia 5110 was released here in the Philippines in year 2000, it was like u were holding a very rare diamond from the outer space and u often caught people around u starring @ the phone! haha memories.. =)

Once it reaches full capacity the warning message that will appear is "no space for new messages". source: my own good old 5110 that is still in good condition until now and been operating for 11 years already, but hasn't been repaired even once :D

Does anyone know how much internal memory this phone has for storing sms messages? If it has no internal memory, and I used a 16k sim card in it, how many sms messages in the inbox would the sim card be able to hold? And once the inbox is full, what message is displayed on the phone?
