Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970w395 sucks...you can read the user opinion on its forum. 5310 is a bit outdated(software). 5130 is the best option or you may also look at 5220.
karane, 27 Aug 2009yes,it was said that it is expandable up to 16 gb. But not so. it is capable of only 2 gb
hi, just some advice
please dont talk abt things that you dont know abt.
Have you tried anything higher than 2Gb?? Well i have.
I have tried both 8Gb and 4Gb. I myself use 4Gb card and my friend uses 8Gb card.
You can use cards upto 16Gb without any problem(confirmed by GSMArena and other users).
Being a music phn the music library always updates its library(scans memory card for newer files) each time the phn is restarted and so if you have lots of media files, phn performance will be a bit sluggish for few minutes after each restart. on 1Gb card you probably wont notice it as there would only be around few hundred media files. I have around 1200 media files(songs and videos), so it takes some 3 minutes to scan it...you can still use the phn, only performance is degraded during the first few minutes only after that its as fast as 1 Gb card.
I just need a good earphone to give me some excellent audio quality and bass which i get when i use my SE Walkman earphones in my 5130. But I cant continue using the SE earphones because its too short.
Did any of you try using a bluetooth stereo earphone? Whats the result?

Hey guys. Thanx a lot for all your feedback. Based on that, I got my nokia 5130xm. Its been a brilliant choice.
I just needed to know what are the other headsets available that can give me some decent bass(the nokia earphones don't do well in this regard.SE is much better). Kindly let me know about the earphones you guys are using and the corresponding prices here in India.
Also will 4gb and 8gb cards work without any trouble in this? What is the price of 4gb and 8gb micro sd?
junior, 26 Aug 2009wher did you get the silver i heard that only blue and red exhistedhi i bought it from the mobile store in india and it totally rocks. It has the silver finish on the sides and the back cover is ash in color.
just bought this phone couple days ago. the sound is fantastic, even compared with other xpressmusic series. I guess GSM arena reviews are accurate.
The battery life is average. for normal use without music player, it will last about 2-3 days. but if you play music a lot, one day is already good. it's not a major problem for me though, because I always recharge my phone every 2 days, and I don't use the music player often.
i'm lovin it!! excellent phone!! wats wit de 16 gb expandable memory thing?? does it mean that my phone's memory can be expanded upto 16gb??
i just got this phone in silver colour 3 days ago and i love it! i love the sound of nokia 5130 XM, it's awesome...with loudspeaker and earphone too! i planning to put 8gb memory in it to put all my fav songs... rawks on nokia!!

its a amazing low cost price phone with amazing features from nokia its so good use it
Bought from 'The Mobile Store', handset made in May 2009, camera did not work consistently out of the box. Took back to store the next day and then to Nokia Care, found that this was an issue with several other 5130 handsets(saw about 4 sets there).
Quality of plastics are good, sound output is great, the provided headsets are lousy for music.Battery life is below average. At the 5K mark its certainly VFM. Got the defective handset replaced with a new one, so kudos to Nokia and Mobile store!
