Battery on nokia lasts longer because of its poor resolution compared to siemens and have you tried switching the screensaver(clock) off->not posibble and what is with the call ID can it get any smaller,and for pit's sake why would I take my phone to the forest this is 2005 there is GPS,i do agree that siemens phones have some minor problems with the software speed but it works just the same good enough.

A...I forgot the Flashlight,this is goona really help me in the dark.BRILLIANT PHONE.
And to those that want bluetooth in the 5140i,my message is THIS PHONE IS NOT FOR YOU.If you want a phone whit bluetooth buy a 6230i or another Good Nokia phone.But in the forrest where i work i don`t need bluetooth.At home,or in my car i have a Nokia 6630 and a Motorola Bluetooth headset.Get it???You aint goona talk on a bluetooth headset in the mountins while it rains or snows.If you wanna talk you have the activity headset,which in my opinion is the best headset i`ve ever saw.SiemensM65 is good if you are working in an office.Nokia is best.Bye bye.

I was wrong to say that SiemensM65 is better than Nokia5140i.I reanalized the two models and in my opinion the 5140i is a better outdoor phone that M65.Much better...Why?I gonna say why.
1.The battery is better in 5140i
2.It`s most durable than M65
3.It has most features and better for an outdoor phone.The M65 it`s just an cx75 in a rugged plastic.Say you are in a forrest and you are lost,you accidently have your 5140i whit you,You are gonna use the Compas to show you the way,or the Gps. Whit the M65 what you gonna use it for???? Take a 1.3megapixel picture?The 256k color diplay goona help you??The 14mb memory is gonna help you,or the mmc card??? I THINK NOT.
For an outdoor phone the Nokia5140i is the WINNER!!!!!Good looking phone and rugged too.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK NOKIA.. Now you know which outdoor phone i`m gonna chose....Don`t you?The BEST.

I think that the only thing that separates Nokia from Siemens is its fast and simple user interface I mean just look at the displays;nokia how much more of the 128x128p , memory 2,5mb, m65 10,32mb,and not to mention the siemens organizer that is absolutely step ahead from nokia,dont get me wrong I love it as well but it's getting pretty boring seeing same stuff in different design over and over again.

Why would anyone buy a siemens over a nokia. The battery lasts a day on them if your lucky and the software is buggy as mad. I mean they use the same battery as a cfx65 and they are the worst phone ever made after the c62 of course.

Why Nokia? Why? not come up with a model like Siemens M75, Why not make a 6230 or a 6230i and put it in a shell ?? M75 will be out soon,,so will 5140i,, shoot, that means to wait another year for a Nokia with MP3 and bluetooth (thats a maybe) or go with M75.
Stupid Nokia.

I disagree, I think this phone is far worse than any other phone that I have ever ever seen apartr from the ones that I have not seen that are obviously better than the ones we are discussing the exception of course is the models we have definatly seen but are sure that we dont really know if they are better in any way than the ones we are discussing.

Fair go. This may not have bluetooth, but i certainly wouldn't urge you to buy a siemens m65 instead - those phones have issues!

Nokia you should take a look to Siemens.And LEARN HOW TO UPGRADE FROM ONE PHONE TO ANOTHER.I really don`t know what you want to realise whit that 65k color screen.This is your best Nokia????!!!!I hope not.I own a nokia phone,the 6630 and i want to buy myself an outdoor phone but this is just garbage.I will Buy the M65 from Siemens.

I don't see why you would upgrade from a 5140 to this if it doesn't even have Bluetooth. I would just wait until a better upgrade comes out, one that has more useful new features (all it really has extra is MP3 and im sure you could cope with just having polyphonic until a much better version comes out).
