I guess people who say that "people who buy this phone is gay" are gay. Really takes one to know one huh. Btw, so what if some people are gay anyway? Just wondering what century you come from 'antonio'.

(The real antonio)

I think 5210 is a very good phone, but I don't know how many use features like WAP when we are in internet age,and we have acces to internet from home much easier and mobile chat mode for SMS...let's be serious. For me very important is the batery ,stand by time(60h is far too less), and the time that it takes to recharge. For example at NiMh bateries it is verry long in comparatin with ericsson's Lithium bateries that takes just 1/2 hour to recharge. Also the durability and the shock resistance of the phone is a very important thing to consider.I hope the future phones will have those features.Thank you.

Actually looks great up close. I wouldn't really call it a photogenic phone but it does make heads turn ;-)

I've had it for more than a month now and so far so good. Serves its purpose well. I've also learned how to like its look. It just kinda grows on you ;-)

Please answer. I'm interested in buying it: Does 5210 support multi-field contacts (name/phone1/phone2/email etc) on phone memory instead of name/number on SIM? Does 5210 save SMS messages on SIM or in phone memory? Is the number of SMS messages limited by the SIM capacity or it stores SMSs in internal memory?
Thank you...

WOW, have your unit changed. My unit's keypad performs excellently! Great for speedtexting. As for the thermometer, the manual says that it's not to be taken seriously and gives instructions on how to get a more credible temp reading. The power button is quite hard to press. It's ok for me though since I rarely turn my unit off and I guess it comes with the 'durability' thingy. I must admit, this phone's not for everyone. It was designed for a specific lifestyle in mind. Nevertheless, though I hate how it looks, I just love what it does which is what matters to me. Got mine for about US$240 here in Manila though it's expected to go down to about US$210 once widely available. Got mine a week before its local debut. Initially wanted the 6510 which was released a week after the 5210 but found its price too prohibitive for my budget (US$ 340) and too tiny for my hands(same size as the 8310).

Buttons are very hard to press especially *, 0, #. The temperature feature is crap. Guess what? It measures the temperature of the phone rather than the environment. So you get a reading of 40 degrees Celcius after a prolonged use in the middle of the night. The on/off button is so hard to press, I have to remove the cover to press on it!
