This is very much avbl in India. As on 23 Aug 2008 On EBay you may end up paying 8676.72 incl VAT. But this price will come down and will stablize in the tune of 7.5k in coming two months.
One GREAT feature is a mention-must for Indian users. That is HINDI TEXT INPUT support! No other phone of this category of Nokia or any other company gives that feature today. My meaning is with bigger screen of 240 x 320 pix resolution & all the smart goodies like music, push email etc this is one of the most awaited development by th eIndian consumers. So friends, अब हिन्दी में लिखो!

So I read everywhere this phone only supports up to 2GB cards? Is this true?
In the forums I was told up to 8GB. I was hoping at least 4GB, but 2 is much to small and I won't be buying it if that is the case.

If someone could please confirm what it really is that would be great, thanks!

im planning to buy a new phone... i think 5220 was the phone im looking for... what i want is a phone that is something different... i like its assymetrical shape and base on what ive red it has good music quality too? am i right? i think 5220 meets what i need for a phone... or can anyone help me to decide which phone i am going to buy? thanks...

It's a great phone. i personally feel it is better than 5310. i love phones with 3.5mm audio jackets. great phone. I am using 4 GB micro sd card and it is running well. Thanks nokia for such good and reasonably priced phone

I have found this hand set better than 5310, good design, opens memory card very fast even i have 2gb, 3.5 audio jack gives good music experience.

well i have this fone already the blue one to be exact... uhm its not comparable to w810i as i had before but im really satisfied with the design and the looks... the interface it good but not as good as SE but i like it because:

>its simple

>its a music fone (although its hard to make play list here)

>nice keypad

>good camera even without auto focus and night mode (what do expect its a phone go buy digicam if you want good pictures)

>nice sound with or without headfone just set the equalizer properly

>mediocre battery but its enough though i am a heavy user i play and listen to music it lasted for 1 and a half day...

>it had maps on the go but map for my country my beloved philippines is not yet available

>can edit wall paper

>nice speaker sound loud enough

things i dont like

>sometimes it restart by itself

>its not easy to make play list

>very rare application for s40 3rd edition

>total black out on the screen on the standby mode how pity

>rare skins for the music player

>not so multi-tasking

>battery is not intended for call it will sure cut off its life after 30 mins - 45 mins of call...

if your looking for simplicity and beauty this will fit your needs but if you want more functionality i should say:
>its not a digicam
>its not an ipod
>its not a PMP
>its not a smartfone

its a simple fone for simple people...

remember mobile fones are intended for making call although this phone did not meet this field well cuz' of the battery but it really satisfied the 2nd intention for mobile fone that is texting and i had fun using this fone very user friendly...

this phone is simple and clean...

I want to buy a phone but i am confused between 6233 ME and 5220 xpress music pls suggest which i should go for. Looking for performance and feature pack phone. Design is not a concern to me. Gsmarena pls write the reviews on this model of phone....

In my view this handset is excellent. It is much better than 5310. camera and audio output is excellent. Iam using this phone since one month. I like this phone very much. thanxs for nokia.

it can not play mp4 format clips.or u can say it can not support mp4

ive been using this phone for almost a month now... the only set back for me is that it sometimes resets by itself when listening to music...(not all the time) other than that, its a really good phone... worth buying!!! quality is good. still no scratches on the screen or keypad. (my SE k770i scratched easily esp the keypad, no offense to SE lovers)

At max volume, it is slightly louder than my laptop and the sound is definitely clearer than the laptop. Imagine that. This small phone outdid a much bigger machine in terms of sound. Its pure crystal clear audio. It doesnt get any better. And it plays for hours (more than 18hrs).
Now we have a new member joining the ranks. I welcome the 5220 with open arms. Thanx again nokia.

SE WALKMAN's Have better Quality of Music Playback and Better Music Output and..MEGABASS Beats Nokia!

if you put all the equalisers up on Nokia all you hear is Distortion which is appauling!
