Actually, there are a lot of techniques which u can customize ur ph0ne. Forgive my appr0ach but u can delete system files by using 3rd party apps, and i kn0w u kn0w what im talking about, its n0t just 3rd party apps but a hacking t0ol. My 5230's camera s0und as well as the video beep s0und has been disabled by it.
You guys want to try hacking your ph0ne t0o. It has many benefits including the unsigned apps installati0n with no hassle, changing the startup pic and sound, rem0ving and adding sh0rtcut h0mescreen butt0ns, and many m0re.
However, you are right, it is also risky if u try to mess ar0und with the system files on c:drive. Anyway, U can go to symbiantalk.net for m0re info about hacking. I w0nt be l0ng in this forum. Thanks. Ü

arvin, 17 Apr 2010nokia 5230 have a LED flash?5230 has no flash. It has a ordinary 2 Megapixel camera but gives satisfactory image and video quality in day light. Video recording is impressive compared to 2 MP camera because of 360X640 resolution at 30 frames per second.

Can any one give more details about the camera facility of this phone?
john, 17 Apr 2010Could you plz tell me how to take a photo without sound? It is not possible to take pictures without camera sound. But there is one solution. You should delete that camera sound file. I found that file using explore but unable to delete it. Dont do anything with system files as they may harm your phone's functionality
riya, 17 Apr 2010plz answer my ? does nokia 5233 supports hindi language ? thanks.........I don't think so.. The only language I can see on my phone is english.. But there are additional language packs available for free download from the nokia site. It is for the built in dictionary. Dn't know for sure if this implies to the phone language as well..
Illutionist, 17 Apr 2010I got 5230 a week before and its awesome... yes i admit its a bit slower than its 5233 counter... moreMessaging on Symbian v5 touch phones is quite a fun actually. I am a heavy texter and believe me, once you get used to with it, you will find it more fun. I prefer QWERTY over normal input methods in these phone. Its a good experience overall with virtual QWERTY inputs.
Sabrina., 17 Apr 2010please answer my question! please! uhm. okay. for those who have experienced using 5233. i wo... more5233 has slightly better output on speakers however difference is still negligible and sound quality is pathetic enough on both phones. If you want quality music output with 3D stereo speakers and crisp, fine tuned quality on headset, then go for 5530. Its smaller, compact, stylish with better build quality but has no 3G and GPS. Instead it comes with WiFi which comes more handy if you have hi speed wire line internet connection with WiFi router or have WiFi spots nearby. But believe me, this is one of the best music phone available in market and you can go for it without a second thought if your focus is on music and trendy design is. Otherwise go for 5233 or 5230 as 5530 is more expensive and all are loaded with same OS, RAM, processor.
please answer my question! please!
uhm. okay. for those who have experienced using 5233. i would like to know if nokia 5233 has a good && clear music. i mean, does it sound good and loud? coz i would like to buy hat one if and only if it has good qualityies in music. please do answer my question! thank you very much.
plz answer my ? does nokia 5233 supports hindi language ? thanks.........
Anonymous, 16 Apr 2010yes, u will get an extra back cover.i too have got it from UK itself, along with the extra cover:)Hey, thanks for the information.
I got 5230 a week before and its awesome... yes i admit its a bit slower than its 5233 counterpart, still has an edge on 3g and GPS. Nokia made its navigation license free for all its GPS phones, hence Navigation using 5230 is a piece of cake.. once u download all maps using ovi suite to memory card, you can use integrated GPS with absolutely no gprs required.. of course it takes 10-15 minutes to lock ur current position. Then everything is perfect. Symbian lets u to install a hell a lot of softwares and if u're a software freak its your phone...
it CAN open all office formats and PDF when u install related softwares, quick office and pdf reader does the job.. see dotsis.com for softwares. But install an antivirus first cause its smart phone and u don't want any virus eat any resources. The camera and sound are rubbish... But i bet u can't find an symbian mobile with such features.. so obviously compromise camera and sound for softwares... Its really a strip down on materials used!!! 5800 has better quality built than this, so its gets crappy when u're gonna handle it rough... and it DOES NOT restart much as said earlier... after reading those reviews i had second thoughts.. but is not happening :) The battery backup lasts for a day with 4-5 hours of music and music with external headphones are really good. 3g is really fast...
If u're a text freak.. really this is not ur mobile.. its really pain to text... still if u text max 20 or 30 a day... u'll get a hang of it... Rest of the features are awesome.
Finally a good mobile from nokia in average price band. If u can spare few more bucks u can go for 5230 instead of 5233. or else wait for two months more.. get 5235.. same config with dual speakers, increased phone memory and free music for an year with additional few thousand bucks more.. :) its ur wish!!!
