but there is only one probleme that i noticed that it have no processor / CPU
really interesting phone in nokia portfolio and now they have phones for different groups of people from different places 5800 was the first that had everything but well because it was first it had many problems and now nokia made two new touchscreen phones learning how to make them better and i think they have succeed ground on 5530 which is for people like me who are living in a places where the 3g is very expensive and for them the wifi is way more valuable and 5230 is for people who live in countries where 3g is cheap and want gps
I don't know what y'all are saying, this could beat the lg cookie and samsung star any day, it's so much better,, with nicer screen, 3G, and smartphone capabilities. Much better than star or cookie. I prefer 5530, because it has wi-fi which is more useful than expensive than 3G, and gps is pointless.... but this has benefit of bigger screen and battery...
Auvik, 25 Aug 2009Nokia should really take their cell phones to the nest level. Same thing again and again. I re... moresymbian s60 v5 is not considered matured by nokia yet. If you notice E series always got the OS around 9 months late compared to N series, so you should wait until Q1 2010 for E-series to have S60 v5 (touch phone).
nice and good looks but it was the same size of 5800 xm it would be more appealing and cool if it was the same size with 5530, specs was acceptable for a budget phone but if i were to choose which feature must be dropped and which one should be in i rather preferred wi fi than gps, why? coz this phone is for the low end users or mass mobile user mostly they used it for common usage make a call send sms multimedia and net browsing and downloads.

Affordable touchscreen for the people who never thought they'd own one, me included. Its specs can be compared to the first or second iPhone but in my country it would cost 3-4 times less, 149 euros is awesome!
Nokia should really take their cell phones to the nest level. Same thing again and again. I really expected a E-Series touch phone. Waiting for that.
Let's remember that this phone is targeted to another type of audience. 5530 was targeted for another and so is the 5800. even if its not xpressmusic i really dont see any difference between one that is and one that is not. both will play mp3s either way and the music player handles the same for both. the specs on this phone is worth it considering the estimated price. you cant have 'em all.
Wooww 5230 looking good at the picture, but this phone don't have a videocall camera..
I dont know why nokia following samsung trends of going from high to low, its an okay entry but with 5800 falling all the time, that the first choice and with 5530 a clean winner over the design 2nd one, nokia needs to produce a sleek version of 5800 with a better cam and all its properties still symbian is no where as good as apples touch.. people wanting a 10000 phone should think technology needs money ...by the way how often touch phone breakdown is another issue... I will stay with conventional E52
Nokia 5230 would not be a phone that would prove to be a milestone for nokia.Phones like LG COOKIE and Samsung star are cheaper than Nokia 5230,but have great features like 3.2 MEGAPIXEL camera with Autofocus, smileshot.Secondly nokia touch interface is very irritating on the other hand Samsung touch interface with WIDGETS is one of the best.so i think nokia should try for another phone,as this would be useless
