I got this phone for a couple of weeks now and i tot that it looks rather cool. Everything is perfect until i realized how short the battery life is. Even if im not listening to mp3 or radio, the battery would deplete after around 3 days which is the shortest that i have encountered with. If only it could be longer, this could be one of the best fone around man.

Dear NOKIA
I brought 1 nokia phone model 5300 please advice me what things are come with the box packing and made in where ? from the shop they are give all chaina product 1.hedphone 2.charger 3.momary card 256mb.i want to know about the charger it comeing 1ps with small jack i dont get the small jack they give me another charger .i want to know 5300 charger or N70 charger is same or not . i am wait for your answer as soon as you can .

great phone... nice sound quality! grainy camera and video. but hey its a music phone! lov it!
..but does anyone kno if u can change d backlight. bcoz i had the 6680 and it saves alot of battery life if you lower down the backlight...

This isn't a major thing, but the keys on the side of the phone for "last track, next track, play/pause"..that doesn't work for the music player as it says in the manual that it should, but it turns on the radio, instead..
anyone else experience this?

WTH is this damn activation key thing? whenever i try to set one of my songs as a ringtong, it says "not allowed by activation key"

this is probably going to seem idiotic, but can someone tell me how to make my mp3's into ringtones? I tried setting full mp3's as ringtones, but it says the file is too large..so then I tried uploading a much smaller file, but it just gave me a different error message..

i want to buy this phone, i hav read all specifications in nokia site and, i found tat blutooth is only for blutooth headset and audio transfer, is tat so???
can we send anything frm blutooth?? or just songs??

this is a good ph. but the only thing it lacks is, GPRS and also being in SERIES 60 it really isnt the dream phone. i would have not gone for it if i would have first known the S-60,it makes really hard to surf. softwares are not easily downloadable because of the SERIES.

Itz kinda hard 2 handle dis kinda sliding handphne modl. it always slips down or up back , seems cool with itz shape n everyting in it but d only prob s d sliding ting... do sumtin beter inda future afta anylising everyting!

you have to set up ur MMS first through optus jus call them up... if its not set up the msg doesnt get sent straight to ur fone, instead it directs u to the net to see it

i just recently purchased this phone, and i put in a 1gig card transfered mp3 on the card, and tried to play music on the music player and it gave me an error message Cannot create media player. (drmexception:3 (javax.microedition.media.mediaexpection:device error/mp3)audio/mp3) anyone ever get this message and know how to fix it to get mp3s to play on the music player. please email me

functions is not bad, actually.. but i'd advise u guys not to transfer too many things frm ur pc to d phone too often unless u guys have anti-virus prog in ur hp.. and.. THE BATTERY SUX. SUX A BIG ONE. i'm a frequent hp user, so i hav to charge it everyday.. my friend which doesn't use much charge once every 2 days. so... i don't know what to say... i like this phone overall, just for the battery.. and it looks abit toyish, but a little sportish.. i don't know how to describe too, but i quite like it.. except for the blue, green and red keys. always pres d wrong one coz they're all stuck together

Just purchased mine yesterday, and does anyone else here have problems taking the back cover off? The plastic that you push down with your nail seems cheap and gets stuck alot! It's very hard to remove the back casing. Thats my only drawback about this phone.
