Hey Daniel..
firstly the phone is an non smartphon and being a s40 device is a sort of classification of non smartphone devices. and being a s40 3rd edition phone it works very closely like a smartphone but jus tat it doesnt support symbian programs. and the phone is by rite supposd to play files of all sizes, i guess the prblm u wil face is tat there wil b a longer loadin time. and as for ur digital cam pix, sorry to say the phone doesnt supports such big files, prbably u can try out to see the effect. i tried to use an 2mp picture but the phone fails to display such big pix........
so far this phone is great and serves as an great multimedia device with an affordable price tag,,,,,,,,,,
GO ON AND BUY TIS PHONE!! IT ROKS!!

Hi,
Some questions for users:
* Is it symbian? s40 means what? I know s60 phones are symbian these days, but can i also use symbian appz on 5300.
* How is the shared memory solved? I the memory card for only mp3 and photos or is it possible to save mails to memory-card. My mailbox is about 30 MB and it wouldnt fit into internal memory.
* How long (big) videos can i play. If would convert a divx movie to nokia's standard and i would be about 100 MB...would it play?
* How big images can i look from galley. For example...i have 6 MPix camera and i would like to store some pics in my phone...Can i show them to my friends without rescaling?

A2DP makes 5300 possible to listen mp3 using wireless (bluetooth) stereo headset. I guess the video is same quality with K700i...

It's a great phone... for average user, who wants the MuSe & simple photo taking :),
given the price is reasonable although s40 v3
I like the button layout and it's not that heavy (Ngage is the heaviest phone I'ave)

the phone is worthy as according to the price but because of english to chinese dictionary it has disappointed lots of people. this is the most unsatisfactory point in this model. English to english dictionary is very important.chinese is not an international language. please NOKIA provide us English - english software.

A2DP basically means that you can listen to music on a stereo Bluetooth headset.the A2DP support is going to be a distinctive feature of all the XpressMusic handsets.

I have Sony Ericsson K700 at the moment. It has VGA, 640x480 pixels camera. I like this Nokia design, but i don't like video resoliution. Let me know does my SE video resolution is better than this nokia?

I bough it on the net to a seller named X138 or something like that. (on ebay). it cost me around $250 plus shipping and the brand of the memory is... Nokia brand micro SD 256 MB card made in Taiwan!!! I highly recomend doing this, but it is a personal matter.

Mate, you've probably misunderstood the target of 5300. Its music - not video...
This model is very expressful, lets you stand out of crowd...isnt it?
