Yes, if you use your own headphones on the 5300 the sound quality is much better. The adapter included also allows you to use standard 3.5mm headphone jack and this improves the sound even further. Oh yes, and it runs on S40

THIS is supposed to be a music phone? What a joke. SE beats them hands down. The only music phone Nokia has ever really made is the N91. I heard one a while back and it blew my mind (almost bought one).

SORRY SORRY, subscribed with *Singtel and received preloaded tunes, not Starhub. Typo.

i got my Nokia 5300 about 2 days ago. So far it has been great and i hvn't been experiencing any problems. Although i have to admit the design is a lil stupid as the back cover opens the same direction as the phone slides... so it's kinda inconvenient. other than that, the phone's great. speaker is loud and good, i got 256MB micro SD with my phone and the camera quality was better than expected. this phone, written on the back of the cover, is supposedly able to "snip" segments of MP3 tones to set them as ringtones with the MP3 RingTone cutter. but where is the ringtone cutter? i can't find it in the PC suite or anywhere in the phone or any other softwares Nokia has provided me, can anyone tell me please?
oh and, i'm from Singapore. anyone from Singapore subscribed with Starhub and received some F.I.R and Fort Minor songs alre preloaded in the phone? I have about 7 or more but they all don't play? please help.
thanks in adv, JY.

I have used this phone for a while now and I think it certainly is worth the price. Good style, features (symbian s40) Loud sound (Try with Bose triport headphones!!), Stereo bluetooth capability (with some bugs), Stable slide and construction, Good keypad, Decent display. Camera is horrible as it will be in this price range. Videos can be used as ring tones. If you are looking for an economy music phone, try this one out.
