i have this phone as well i am experiencing restart when playing this phone thru headset. it s u c k s because knowing it is express music but it isnt performing the way it should i was able to download a firmware but i am quite confuse because i tried going to the nokia software updater and i wasnt able to find any including to most of nokia forums. searching google i find these let me know if this works because i plan to return my phone

better than w880.but w610 is 100 times and our dear w800i is still 1000000000 times better than this

Hey all,
i've just got back from Carphonwarehouse - my faulty phone, which was restarting when playing music, has been replaced with a brand new one. I've now been playing mp3s for 1 hour and still no restart. Maybe that was a bad handset. Fingers crossed it'll keep working fine! :)
To answer someone's question here, yes, it takes a 2gb card, as mine came with it, and works fine. According to the nokia site the 5310 takes up to 4gb. No bad eh?

Hi guys, Can someone please let me know if this phone 5310 has the capability of accepting 2G of memory card, because I love having enough musik and vedios in my phones.

Im bored of this phone now and ive only had it for a month or so. The loudspeaker is really low in volume why arent nokia bringing out some sort of software update for this phone?

i think the problem why it is restarting because you havent charged it after purchasing you have to charged it as soon as the battery drains. well i guess it still depends where you bought the phone.

i was able to buy the phone today and so for after using it for about 12 hours all i can say is even though the headset is quite awful the quality of music is 10/10 i think they are all right if you plug a better head set you will for sure appreciate how clear crisp and loud the music of this phone. Camera is quite good picture is standard video quite 6/10 . Certainly this phone is worth everysingle cent of your money. Grab one those who are saying bad a thing regarding this phone is either they havent touch the phone or have no money to buy one :P

guys, at first sight i like this phone and i wanna buy one cause it's slim =) i never thought this phone will auto restart hihihihi very disappointing huh?! if u guys are not into slim phones and want a grat phone, buy the old SE w810i. it will nver disappoint you =) it has the best 2MP camera ever and cool megaBass. and oh.. it can support 4GB MS: \m/,

I personally think that it is a very good phone with lots of cool features. The colour display is amazing and it is unbelievable light. You wouldn't know that it was in your pocket!

hey all
as per entry below, i think that about covers it - but i havent got a problem with a "low speaker volume" - just the restarting. It is irritating, because it restarts sometimes twice during the same song! And it takes a little time to check the card too, for "media search". Not very good in that sense, but a nice phone otherwise...

i bought nokia 5310xm a month ago, here's what i think about it:
- camera, not very good, i used LG KE770 before, and the picture that taken from nokia 5310xm lose a lot if i compare it with the picture from LG KE770 camera
- sound, it's nice but the bass is not very good, and the nokia earphone in the package is not very good too, so i use seinheisser earphone, and it's quite good. i never had walkman phone before, so i can't compare it to walkman phone
- just like everybody complain, it keep restarting itself if i listen to the music more than half an hour, and sometimes it just restart even when i'm not listening to the mp3 player
- fast UI, i can say, there's no lag, i used 1 Gb memory card
i'm thinking to change it with SE W610, any suggestion?

off course i've try this phone... my girlfriend has this phone.... are you stupid???? i said that this phone has better sound than walkman but if you use a great headset!!!! i used my walkman headset in this phone and it's better than my w850i.... but not that good in 5310's retail package headset.... only good mid and treble but the bass elements are poor (not as good as HPM-70) are you sure already had w800i????? i don't think so.... w800i still better from this phone!!!! w800i was a legendary phone...

Hey all,
I've had the phone a few days now. Got it from CPWhouse on pay-go. It is a great little phone, but I'm am already tired of it constantly restarting itself. I found out it does it more often when using the MP3 player. I happens every 2 songs now. With the phone in standby, or on normal use (text, calls, menu browsing, gaming) it works fine and doesn't restart. It happened once and that was it. However, playing MP3s is out of the question - every 2 songs and i'm waiting for it to come back to life. Then, it wants to rescan for music (checks a 2gb card, takes a little while) then plays the very first song on the list - regardless of what i was playing before. Very very irritating. I asked CPWhouse today, and they "know nuffink" as the lad put it.....Very bad for a 130quid fone!

Dear friends
I bought this phone about 7 days ago. One interesting thing i have found that when the phone is connected thru charger, the speaker volume is loud and clear. Without charger connected, speaker volume is soft. I think it may be a firmware problem.
Hope Nokia will release firmware soon for this phone.
