Can anyone please recommand me any sites where I can buy this phone quite cheaply?
Must be able to ship internationally as well.

roger we have the same problem... but it only happens 3x a day or less huhm the nokia had done everything to my phone but they have said that I should wait for a new firmware for this phone... same problem happens to other users of 5310 xm phones, not only you and I roger.

Hi all,
no messing you around - has anyone experienced the occasinal "shutdown+restart" with this phone? Mine sometimes goes blank, usually when playing music - then reboots itself...has anyone had that yet? I've checked with Nokia, the phone is too new to have any firmware updates yet...

FYI dude, please try first the phone before u say nonsense things about this phone, i've already had this phone, and the earphones enclosed in the box are very good unlike those on the N95. and i had w800 before, and i must say, 5310 is much better than it.

i know that 5310 or 5610 have a better sound's quality than walkman phone.... but i don't mind that.... walkman phones give you the THE BEST YOU CAN GET in mobile phone package... in NOKIA 5310 retail package , you'll get a cheap headset from NOKIA... the quality is very2 average (it can't compare with HPM-70 from walkman's retail package)... than you should waste your money again to buy a good headset... that's why people still love WALKMAN phones... because they gave the best package for music experience...

i've been using this phone for more than two weeks & here's wat i have 2 say
excellent display(16 million color screen display)
slim & lightweight.easily fits in ur pocket.
Xcellent music quality in earphones. it even surpasses the walkman phones.
battery lyf is awesome. initially the battery used to drain quickly but after charging it 9-10 times it is showing its real battery backup which is xcellent. so b4 u comment it has a bad battery lyf make sure u have charged it at least 9-10 times. if the display had been of 256k color than the battery lyf would've been much more. about the loudspeaker,ok i admit its output is low & u may not hear the ringtone.but to resolve this use a loud ringtone,not the fancy polyphonic ringtones,for eg i'm using "electronic" ringtone which is very loud & u can easily hear it. The loudspeaker output is enough to hear songs in a quite room & if u know how to 'hold' it in 'right' position then the volume will be louder.
about the camera quality,now who's sayin that it has a bad camera?? the camera is xcellent. just click ur snaps in landscape mode with highest resolution & with high quality images option enabled. the images will be mindblowing. now i agree that camera is slow & blurry but i've noticed that it depends on light condition. when i'm outdoor the camera is not at all slow & blurry but same is not true when i'm indoor.
initially i was regretting of buying it but now after observing it for more than 2 weeks i'm happy that i bought this phone.

ppl dont go for w810i its battery backup is too bad...i recharge it on a daily basis and if continousy listen 2 to 3 songs on loudspeaker with full volume...the battery drains half....i think nokia is best if u want to have gud battery life...without battery backup u cant listen to music no matter how gud it would be....

nokia is SO STUPIDZ
this fone has very standar feature except dedicated audio chip n it sell for $260 in indonesia WTF with 260$ u can get very better fone from se in walkman phone or n-series from nokia
pls nokia low feature sell high

wtf is wrong with nokia! picture this:
great phone with dedicated audio chip, great sound, 2 inch 16 million color display, 3.5 mm sound jack yet it cannot play hi-res video...who's bright idea was that. the CEO of Nokia woke up one day thinking, I'll build the perfect 6233 descendent and give it the video playback capabilities of the good old 6230 :((
it's like building a Ferrari and suddenly realize that it will go faster if you put a Fiat motor on it
Nokia, unbefu*kinglievable, wake up!

5310XM, thank you a lot for these answers...I'm not planning on buying this phone for another month or two since it isn't fully launched in my country...please keep us in touch with how this problem evolves in the near future, right now this is a major disadvantage for me...I woas hoping at least 320x240 and 30 fps...just like 6500 slide..if this doesn't wor out i'm going to buy the w910 or w890 or maybe the Slide :(

-yes, just like other cam phones, it can take pictures in landscape or portrait mode.
-no it can only play QCIF(176x144) videos in mp4 or 3gp formats.
it can't play QVGA or higher resolution videos.. i tried converting QVGA in 15fps, but only the sounds will play, but when i tried them on my friends 6280 & 6233 they just play smoothly.
i hope nokia should improve this in the next firmware. =)

Would somebody please answer a few questions (only if u are a user! I need personal opinions...): - does it shoot pictures horizontally like a normal camera?
- does it play video clips at 320X240 minimum at 15 fps (30 would be ideal)?
Thank you for taking the time... If those two things are passed I gonna get myself one'o'those :D
