i am really surprised to hear many negative responses regarding nokia 5310
i have been using nokia 5310 for more than a month now but it is really very very good phone
it has excellent sound, very stylish and very light phone. excellent picture quality... nothing like i had to restart.
only drawback is that sound of speaker is low and i tend to miss calls sometimes.
my advice to all the people is
if u r a real and a true music lover
just buy it...................

good slimfone but don't use the headset when playing misic or play games on this cute fone or else you'll get dissapointed!!!

People should do the latest firmware update. It seems Nokia have addressed the locking up issues with this ...
Mine has only locked up twice in months, and never since latest firmware ....

the nokia 5310 is amazin but when i play music it restarts itself randomly and there is no way of stopping it.

5310 its real cool phone i use always nokia and i use all kind of nokia but this best music mobile

I have used this set for about 2 weeks and then have to dispose it off.
Major Drawbacks:
-Restarts ocassionaly withouth any specific reproduceable steps
-User cannot control the brightness of the LCD
-Camera takes a loong time to capture an image
-Loudspeaker volume not so great
-FM radio reception is not good as well
Good Points:
-Sleek Design
-Good picture quality
-loudest volume ever heard in Headphones
-Easy to sms means keys are naturally placed
-3 days battery timing with full time use of multimedia
-Nothing else
I would say that if you want a problem free set, go for 6233 instead of 5310 coz it makes you get annoyed sometimes

Please can someone tell me where I can find the blue and black version rather than the black and red one? any online shops? links? I have looked everywhere like t-mobile and carphone warehouse and all that...but they only have the black and red version.....If one knows where I can get it from..feel free to email me at

ITS A FANTASTIC PHONE ...
I've had mine for a month, I dont understand all the moaners on here ..
I have to turn down my volume to 50-75% to stop the music bursting my eardrums (what earphones are you all using? You must be using big bone domes that require amplifiers ... with in the ear headphones its superb ...).
Locked up twice - But never since the latest firmware upgrade.
Camera is OK for the odd snap - But you would never buy this phone the camera when their are plenty of 5Mpix ones out there ..
I use an 8Gig micro SD card .. have 6 gig of music on it, works fine ..
This is a wafer thing ultra light music phone. THATS WHY YOU WOULD BUY IT ...
Its the BEST Phone I Have EVER owned ... dont know its in my pocket .... Well done Nokia. (and no, I dont work for them!)

i have seen mp4 players who definetly looks exactly like this phone,,, it such a sham because you can be fool by anybody.... especialy those phone which is made in china

I dont recommend buying this phone cause ringing volume is very low&cant be heard in any environment,not even in next room Better get Nokia 5610 express music,that is what I did so dont ask 2 many questions&save your money

I have bought this phone 2 weeks back. This is a worst phone i have used. The phone restarts after sometime. The music clarity is superb but the volume levels are very low and worst than Nokia 3230. What can we do this set? I have to charge my battery daily eventhough I am not using this frequently. How to fix this problem even nokia care has lifted their hands that they cant fix it.

despite of several comments complaining about nokia 5310 it still an amazing mobile the colors and screen is realy good ...the only disadvantage is its low volume ...but iv found a soloution ...its by using an amazing software which is audio editor gold ...install it on your pc and increase the tone volume u will find a button on the left menue (amplify)raise the volume but i prefer not more than 125% because it will bacome very noisy and unclear ...then save it with a new name and copy it on your mobile ....but thats not all ..the good news is that i noticed that all the tones had amazingly high volume after i copied some edited tones using this amazing software ...even those original ones installed by nokia ...why this happened i dont know and i dont care . speaking of the camera its amazing specialy in daylight ...when you are taking pictures in daylight adjust the camera mode to daylight and when you are taking pics at night adgust the camera to tengiston mode.

Despite all d bad comments, i still bought d fone. i wasnt able to resist the slim design and lite weight. no disaster yet.
LCD is crystal clear. better dan sony. and much betterdan N series.
VERY EASY 2 use.
speaker is not that loud but is ok in a quiet room
camera is fine. but of course its not as good as digi cams
music quality is superb
d price is just right
