I got this mobile for 11,700 INR in chennai .. i ve been using it for about 2 weeks and its really good .. i feel its worth to buy(my opinion).. i like to use the touch is much more responsive than 5800 and this mobile fits in a hand very easily .. i like this mobile very much

Hi guys Nokia 5800 is much better than this phone. 5800 has some extra features n value for money. So if u plan just go for 5800.

i just got home from the office. whew! summer blazin hot in the philippines buddy.
w0w. gotta give you a high five for that! this one's really something huh. you can not only view it but you can actually make one or edit an office doc... hahaha cheers 5530!
thanks to 3rd party applications and to our buddy nuwan who spent time to inform us all about these things.
anyway, you can not used those applications simultaneously right? only if you want better sound you use this and if you want better interface you use that? so depends on your mood which application to use right?
and another thing, say you installed the application for threaded inbox you will have to open this application everytime you want your inbox to be threaded or you go to inbox itself then messages are already in threaded view?
sorry for that s2pd question there haha!

my battery life seems too low..average usage (some mp3,wifi,sms) only last for about 1-2 days..just got this phone few weeks ago with latest firmware..is it my battery got problems?

Honestly speaking, you're the first person to say that '5530 Music Quality is not so good'
So I don't have any comment on that..
However if you compare it with Apple i-phone.. Yeah.. Indeed you're right... Apple i-phone sound quality is greater than this...
But this mobile is very competitive to any other mobile in terms of Music quality... I'm telling it with confidence... Please refer the sound quality test results of GSMarena team...

Actually having multiple music players is necessary for me due to the reason I've not seen a single Music player which could give me all I need...! For an example I've got 5 Music players in my mobile...
1) Default Nokia music player (very reliable)
2) LCG Jukebox (Excellent Music Quality, great frequency response)
3) Power MP3 (Easy management, lots of features like bass boost & preamp)
4) TTPod (Extraordinary skins, automated lyrics and album cover download)
5) 360ting (Great user interface, nice sounds)
Above is a very brief comparison... I wish there's a player which could give me the reliability of Default nokia player, Sound quality of LCG Jukebox, features of PowerMP3 & TTpod and interface of 360ting... Then I will uninstall all of above and install that new player...!
Yeah.. You heard it correctly... We can View, Create & Edit Microsoft Office files... (MS Office 2003 as well as MS Office 2007 files with the extension *.docx) Just make sure you install the Quick Office premium 6 or later version..

I do not like the sound of the music. No matter how I set the equalizer the sound is still hurting my ears. It is nothing like an Apple Ipod nor an LG KM900 Arena which I have. Other than the music, everything is just fine.

Yeah.. Software can harm your mobile... That's possible.. You will have to bear the risk though that risk is negligible... Actually the maximum harm they could do to your mobile is, making you for a hard reset... If you have properly backed up your data in a safer place, then you don't have to worry about that.. Right..?
However I'm telling you.. It's extremely rare a theme would do any harm... And Nokia warning message will always come.. Don't worry... Just proceed with the installation... You'll get used to it..
If you worry too much... Then install kaspersky mobile anti virus... But for me, it has never caught a virus so far...! Because mobile virus are very unlikely... (reported very few so far.. Even those are not very dangerous...)
However I suggest you to read all the user comments below the download page... Then you would come to know the pros and cons of the software before you install it.. Both dotsis and mobile9 have these 'user comments' and that feature is Very very helpful...

Yeah.. I've made a mistake by only putting a list of applications without giving a web site to get them... Well... Google maps you can get by simply searching 'Google maps for mobile' in google... Fring & you tube too you can get same way...

Among the listed applications, some are freeware and some are not.. (Ex: Quick Office is not a freeware) For the paid versions you'll have to pay for their original website... Or else, you can use the cracked versions of them.. www.dotsis.com has all sorts of cracked software BUT you'll have to hack your mobile in order to install them...
