Appreciate your prompt response, the problem is that i cannot use any of the key codes ,i.e. *#7370#, *#7780# ,*#7370# , just because the "Telephone" function renders usuable. In other terms i cannot use Dialler function via home screen thus those codes are unable to be inputted. Since the same problem goes with "Contacts" on the homescreen, i usually go to "Menu" to use this function instead, to access my phonebook. If you may know where to access the "Telephone" function on the "Menu" I would be more glad to appreciate if you can share to me.regards.

I am happy that you had your mob as good as new again!, well aside from the fact that i had the problems below. Another problem is that when i restart the phone, the welcome "Nokia" (in white background) screen freezes. I had to remove the battery from the back and worst of all i had to resort on removing the memory card if the latter doesnt work. Well wish me luck that i nokia guys here would give me a pat on the back saying "your phone back and as good as brand new".. regards.

Hi purchased this 5800 phone on diwali but really repenting b coz just check Lg gt505 phone 5mp 8gb 3 inch display for 11000rs really fantastic phone ill sell my 5800for this just c the videos in you tube guys u too luv it

*#7370# will format your phone memory and restore to fatory settings.

May be thats the reason that nokia is not releasing the cell in India they are try to get everything right before launching. As they to may have encountered these bugs before release

Guys.. its been my 8th week usage on the phone.. bought it last Sept/E. Unfortunately right now, m having problems. When i get to the homescreen the "Telephone", "Contact" and the 4 shortcuts render unusable. When i try to press it only a vibra register but the actual command does not execute. What i did is to update phone version fr. 11.0.053 to 11.0.054 but nothing happened. I notice that the phone somehow lag in execution plus the fact that almost 20MB of phone memory was consumed. Next thing i did was to remove the memory card and the sim as well. Still Nothing happened. Unhappy with what was still happening, last resort was to reset the factory settings. You know what happened? Still the same. no effect. But I'd be going back today from the where i bought this up (not worth mentioning the place and the stall since it has been an authorized dealer aside that it is popular as well) luckily which i still kept the receipt i had. If someone on this forum experienced the same bug, i wud be gladly to hear and appreciate if you can share what actions might i still take.

5530 Price has dropped in the US from 290 USD to 239 USD in Nokia's official US site. Most probably its going to get launched in India around INR 10k to 11k.

nobody know whether nokia want to launch it or not.everyday some or the other giving new launch date.even people at npd are giving no information...someone said that its launching on 20th nov but actually it wont..hope it get launched soon..nokia should declare the launch date if they are planning to launch it..
