Unless you were using at least an IEM (in ear headphone) worth 1500 Rs, your claims has no meaning at all.
As far as frequency response goes, 523x series is better. But 5530 XM isn't lagging any either. They rocks. But 5800 is somewhat on the lower side of quality.
Btw, my current iem is Philips she9700.

i compared nokia 5530 with 5800 and 5233 for the audio quality through headphones. the results i found was really amazing, 5530's audio quality was way ahead of 5800 and 5233.. firstly the clarity of the sound its absolutely superb, sony ericsson's walkman phones are no match for nokia 5530.. secondly the stereo surround or the crosstalk, which 5800 and 5233 were not abled to match upto 5530.. i checked the sony ericsson xperia x10 with 5530 for the audio quality and u guessed it right x10 sucks...
My suggestion to all the audio enthusiasts out there nokia 5530 is the superb sounding mobile phone which i hav come across and i believe n8 and x7 too have the same qualities of 5530 or may be better than 5530 because i hav never heard them..

I simply made a way to have the registration and security certificates (2 files) and installed HelloOx on my phone, so basically you can install almost every S60v5 app or game you find without having errors. The hack is both for beginners and advanced users. :) Enjoy.
