I'v owned this inferior 5610 for just 2 days, and now it jus turned itself off everytime i on the phone. Seems nothing i can do abt it rather than sending the phone back to the factory. Which is the only thing I'v tried not to do by jus bought 5610 to replace my old 5300.
I can only say NOKIA is acting very irresponsible in this phone-hanging issue, marketing such product while realizing the fault. And, making no correction steps with it, is the worse of all. I've been years a supporter but now truly disappointed with NOKIA.

This phone is god, but my problem is,
1. it gets hang while picking the phone while listening the music.
2. can save the log detials, like it saves only the time of last call, not all the calls of same number.

hi max
just yesterday i bought my n95 sive and peach color,just seen in this site.it is d best fone i ever know,i dont hav time now.i will find wat features it has,but the sound clarity is xcellent than n73 ,but n73 is louder than n95,but n73 has no efect.

i just want to confirm 1 thing that i confirm frm lot's of mobile shops and dealer shops but they don't have nokia 5610 blue model, so this model is available or not.......?

The 5610 speaker is one of the best made by Nokia. It is not the loudest, but definitely is the clearest and with the most bass.
Firmware is the phone's internal software. You can use Nokia Software Updater (from Nokia website) to download the latest firmware directly to your phone.

had the phone for one day it dropped just once nd the screen was half black and half white its gone for repair regret buying it the sound was not good the spoeakders made a crackling noise dont want it anymore wish the servoce provider would kee it the older nokias are better it drops you pick it up and it still works

The front protective film is a MUST for this phone, as it absorbs all the scratches and protects the phone, and can be replaced with new one and the phone will look perfectly new again.
The phone hangs? Yeah about 5 times, since I bought it and updated the firmware to v4.81 (still the latest today). And it all happens after I listen to music for a few hours, or playing a long movie (over 1 hour). My phone never hang during calls or typing SMS or playing games or surfing net...
Actually, a lot of people don't know something: a bad quality memory card is the reason for many phone hangs! Nokia phones are known to get stuck when it cannot read the memory card properly. So, use a good quality card. For me, I put a 4GB microSDHC (Adata turbo class-6) in my 5610 and it works perfectly. The phone NEVER get irresponsive. The only time the phone is slow is while updating the music library, but that's because I put more than 2GB of music and 1GB of video in the memory card, and it scans through EVERY song to arrange them by artist, album and genre.
After 6 months using this phone, the battery life is still very good and can last me 3 days on average. Playing music (using headphones) does not drain the battery a lot. If I listen to music for 5 hours a day and make some average calls, the phone will last 2 days. Heavy use (play video, play games, surf internet) will drain the battery in 1 day. But I remember once I did not make any call or receive any call for 7 days in a row, and the phone battery truly lasted 7 days! (okay, Nokia listed 320 hours standby time but I guess it is based on offline mode (no SIM); my phone is connected to 3G network and lasted over 160 hours!)

Since I bought it, I have sticked a thin plastic protective film on the screen to protect from key/coin scratches etc. I put it in my jeans pocket every day. I have dropped the phone on hard floor about 10 times and on the cement road two times.
This is the condition of my phone now:
- Screen and front camera: the protective film have been scratched a little but the real screen below is still perfect! Also, not even a tiny bit of dust went into the screen as it is perfectly sealed!
- Left select/right select/call/end buttons: also protected by the film so there are scratches on the film but the real surface below is perfect!
- Play/pause (menu) button: there are fine scratches on it caused by my finger pressing it everyday, and there is no film to protect it
- Music slide key: minor scratch but not broken and not cracked at all (yes, this is the one some people complain about)
- Red metal trim at the side: no scratch at all, no peeling off, perfect like new!
- Grey plastic coating on the rest of the phone surface: nearly perfect and scratchless, except two corners (top right and bottom left) where it hit the road when I dropped it, and scratched two fine lines off :(( once the grey coating got scratched off, it is black plastic below so unless you look closely, the scratch is not very obvious from far
- The sliding mechanism: completely perfect (I think I have slide up and slide down over 1000 times since I bought it)
- The keypad: the #2 key is scratched slightly, others are still perfect like new (my mistake, I scratched the #2 key when I open the slide using my thumb pushing the play/pause key! The correct way is to push on the music slide key or the red metal trim to open the slide, so that the #2 key will never be scratched)
- Back cover: it is made of completely scratch-proof material so till today it is perfect like new! No cracks too! The big red "Nokia" logo and the "3.2 megapixel A/F" fine print are also intact as new, color does not fade at all!
- Camera and dual-LED flash: both are well protected by the chrome metal frame, no scratch at all, the camera lens and glass cover are still crystal clear like new!
- All the port/connectors on top: got a little dust but still works perfectly regardless (no loose connectors whatsoever)
- Volume control and camera snap keys: perfect like new
- SIM card/microSD card/battery holder: perfect like new since they are inside

Yes it does hang. I returned it to the shop because of that. They said they're going to replace the software. But I don't think it will make any difference... Nokia still don't know how to fix that bug this phone has. do think twice before you buy this phone, it's not worth your money and nerves.

Any long term user of the phone plz help me!!!!!!!!
i have 2 questions
1.that if u put this phone in ur pocket and use it very safely is the music slider key still going to break and plz tell me tht is the key durable and wont break in ur pocket.
2.moreover plz can u tell me how much does this phone hang and gets irresponsive and have u guys made any software updates and still the phone hangs
