@viperkid
Pc suite doesn't recognize songs with frequency of 48000hz. Go that case only you need to convert them to 44100hz. N bro why don't you use xilisoft? Instead of converting songs into wma, convert them in std mp3 44100hz 128kbps, then pc suite recognizes with ease.
The much discussed topic- when successor of 5700 gonna arrive? Now it's 1 year old. The much rumoured 5710 hasn't yet become public. You n me as well were very much interested about it. I even had read on a site that 5710 was gonna launch on 3rd april but it didn't. Instead 5320 got announced but it certainly isn't successor. Specs say it.
I'm waiting for it to announce.
NOKIA RULEZ.

As I see that Dani is the most confused person I have found in this whole site. He write posts in every section like: 6300 is the best phone I regret to sold it, I'll buy another one, 6230 is the best phone ever, SE walkman is the best and have no competition.
Really I can't get what is this guy thinking, sometimes he dishes SE and promote Nokia and other times he dishes Nokia and acts as a SE fanboy.

Anyway at least I have my 5700, I can say the true about this phone in base to my experience with this gadget and I safely say that it beats every Walkman I have seen and listened:W200,W300,W580,W610,W710,W810.

Yep exactly. The 5700 is a great Music Smartphone, i can tell you now it beats any Walkman at sound,all the Walkman is is an over hyped Music player thats why its SO EASY to rip the W960's Walkman player from W960 and port it in to a P1 or P990.
The headset that the 5700 comes with is amazing :-) i wish N81 and N95 came with it.

@ Dani:
I dont understand you: we are all 5700 fans here, you come and critisize our phone as well as Nokia, then you say NO OFFENCE???....I said it previously, go discuss elsewhere if you'll continue talking off-topic things which are not even true.....I'm still asking myself whether you really used a 5700 or not....we are talking about 5700 here, not Nokia in general...get that fight in your mind....and btw, Tepsz is right.....it really seems that you haven't really seen Nokia 5700 closely, use it and know all its functions and qualities.....and as far as sound is concerned, I remind you that lots of Motorola and Samsung have higher sound quality that SE......

OK now I'm done, you can return in your SE section....

Ketan:

ur ryt bout nokia pc quite v6.86.9. i'd also lyk to add dat mp3s can now b converted into m4a directly without pre-converting unconvertible music files to WMA first. only problem i encountered was dat all converted files into m4a cannot b recognized (it shows unknown artist, album, genre, et al except for d title, even all tags r saved and intact before transferring) by my 3250 =( so i hav no choice but to revert n install d previous version.. i assume tags r recognized by 5700? my bro's N80 has d same issue.

Thanks to all people who helped me for the update to 4.21 version but now I am longing for the v3.83.1. The 4.21 version is not worth the update for now atleast for me. The fonts are really not good. City Bloxx game is not playable by me now. I hope if there is any way to revert to the previous version. But I have googled and found only one answer. Once updated then there is no way to get the older firmware. Lucky People with the v3.83.1 should wait for something better than v4.21!!! Bad Luck for me though!!

@Ketan:
Those equalizer settings are great. I'm not having issues with Music manager as I ave PC suite v6.86 too and I'm converting a great amount of songs in M4A. Yesterday I converted 72 songs to have a total of 276 songs in my 4gb San Disk Micro SDHC, and they sound pretty good. I have also put on some songs the album art option because the phone itself not supports all the album art versions.

About the other topic: 5700 and 5320.
I think the last one will be a very good gadget for the estimated price offering great features and an attractive design. But comparing it with my 5700 is not relevant for me because even if it has 3.5G (that is very expensive in my country), 3.5mm output all packaged in a smaller body, I'd feel like I'm downgrading I'f I replace my 5700 for this. That because the 2 inch screen and only a mono speaker. The batery life seems good because Nokia acclaims up to 24h of non-stop music so that's an achievment for Nokia. But afterall I think this phone will be a hit but isn't for me.
If I replace my phone this year (but I think it'll be in early 2009) I'll be looking for a Nseries.

5700 i think has been phased out in certain regions not all, still beats every SE WALKMAN at Sound Quality. :-)

@luis
I've few corrections with equalizer settings
My personal best equalizer settings are
1st column- set at max
2nd column- set at 4 from above
3rd column- set at mid
4th column- set at 2 from above
5th column- set at max
This will sound the best if you are using m4a songs.
By the way, nokia pc quite v6.86.9 has fixed a bug with music manager. Previously it used to give distinct clicking or humming sounds when songs were converted into m4a. Now it's not at all coming.
Here's the site where you will all the apps
www.symbian-skin.com
Direct download even from mobile is possible. No registration required.

Yeah, 5320 is good. I'm sure it'll be a promising handset like 5700.

But the thing is, once my 5700 turns 1 year old this June, I will have to purchase an N78 since I want to have an upgraded camera and WLAN.

But setting N78 aside, I was a bit saddened knowing that 5320 only has a mono speaker and still the very common 2MP camera. I wish it had auto-focus at least and stereo speakers, since it is an XpressMusic phone.

Other than those setbacks, the 5320 is a great phone. Equipped with the latest Symbian software and interface, it also has HSDPA and a built-in 3.5mm audio socket. Plus, it supports up to 8GB!

I'll recommend the blue 5320 for my brother. Anyway, he has to wait til the third quarter comes.

:)
