Now Fans can love anything abt anything and they can feel that other brands su**s. That is why the are known as fans mate.

So there is no point to be involved in useless argument & wasting precious time.

Let us stop this & resume the helping spree again.

No need to misinterpret me, I am not with/against any brand. No phone is perfect here. Be it Nokia, Sony or any other. There are pros/cons of each model.

I was simply asking the person to not spoil the forum by initiating such useless talk.

And I thought it is a totally personal affair of a person. Coz likes/dislikes usually vary with person, mood & maturity.

I know abt Nokia 5700 so if you have any concern/problems & I am able to suggest any thing than I will.

Same statement hold true for husband also.

people who own Nokia should be proud of what they own....

same with SE owners .like me

its just some i***ts like to own a Nokia and yet talk bad about SE ! like this *luis* ..him/her ..said that SE Walkman phones are crappy ..

well little one now that ur acting cool ... :-) its good but isnt it u that who trying to diss nokia in everyway ... i see u in many pages in gsm arena ... what is it exactly u want to proove ... i agree no phone is perfect but since u know that why are u acting like this ... :-) the 5700 is a great product by nokia maybe it look like a toy to u but maybe it look like a kool twisting design sporty looking device to others ... i even saw u in the w 910 page trying to diss nokia and proove some fact that s.e. is better ... well as i said in one of those pages ur just wasting ur time little one in the end of the day its what people really want not what we say it is ... :-)

I donīt know who was the nut that started with those no sense comments about S.E is better but let me say you something: If you didnīt read it this is Nokia 5700 forum, not S.E forum and I know that you donīt have anything to do, maybe you donīt have a job, a girlfriend, study or whatever but please get a life!!
Everyone knows that this is better than most crappy walkmans with the same like 2004 firmware and mega distort oops! sorry I mean mega bass. The speakers are awesome and all the handset infact

just look at it...im a Youth im 16 years old..i wouldnt even look at this phone it looks like a Babys Toy! ..when will Nokia understand that?

I would agree with Partha. Why?

5700 is much better than 5610, in my own opinion because, again, it's a S60 smartphone. That simply means, lots of possibilities for cool applications.
5700 is greater than 5610 design-wise. Sliders are somehow common. The 5700 fools everyone as if it's just a candybar phone but the twisting part is awesome.
Both phones are 3G but browsing is faster in 5700. (I've experienced 5610 care of my office colleague.)
5610 has a better still-image camera (3.2mp auto-focus) versus 5700 (2mp fixed focus). But I don't mind much about camera since music is my priority.
Both handsets' music players work great. They both have almost the same interface. Music can be sorted by artists, genre, composers, playlists.
5700's loudspeakers score better than 5610. Though 5700's speakers don't sound as loud as 6233 or N73, music comes out clearly without cracks even when volume level is at high. 5610 only has one speaker (located at the back) which tends to be muffled when inside your pocket.
As for memory card location, 5610 shows some inconvenience because you still have to remove the back cover unlike 5700 which has a rubber flap that easily seals in other ports (charger, mini usd).

If you'd ask me, I've been using 5700 since June 2007 and it never gave me any headaches (except when its' lcd turned white that I had Nokia Care to fix it last November). At first my 5700 restarts and hangs too often but after I updated my firmware to v.3.83 (I'm not sure if this is the latest), that was eliminated.
I have invested a lot for my 5700. I have a BH-501 bluetooth headset which I frequently use with 5700. I use a 4GB microSDHC memory card in which I have 1126 tracks in mp3/mp4/m4a/aac format with at least 128kbps bitrate. And some video clips downloaded from youtube and converted to mp4.

I's super-satisfied with my 5700 so far. But once N78 comes out, it will be my next handset. (Unless if I can afford N96, why not?)

No comparison between the phones as they are running on different platforms.
5700 is a smartphone with s60 os9.2 having good musical capabilities whereas 5610 is a non-smart musical phone running on s40 platform.
5610 is costlier than 5700. Then why not buy a 5700 which is packed with features and is a very good phone.

hello to all the users of 5700 .my name is suhan and here i am be to tell all of the users of 5700 that if you all are not satisfied with the loudeness ofthe phone 5700 than just try the nokia head set HS-16 with your phone {5700} so that u got the accsilent and termendeous effect on ur phone it gives an extreme loudeness and bass and clearity too .i am using it since before 2 days and i experienced that HS-16 is best hedset for lisning and enjoing music on 5700 .the 5700 is ultimate phone .there is no any phone is present in market which can beat the one and only 5700. if any one haves the problem or dout about 5700 than they can do male memy e mail id is nattu50ak47@yahoo.co.in . the last thing is that the price of hs_16 headset is 1800 rs. is

Tested my 5700 with home theater system(2.1). It produces fantastic sound. Quality is superb and at par with my philips DVD player. Playing RM files are quite different though.

always format your card either from your phone or from any nokia recommended source. As format basically means clearing the file allocation table & not deletion of data. Nokia os may/will not identify other formats.

You are able to view files through file manager it means you'll also be able to view these files via PC Suite. It means you have your data safe.

Memory card can be corrupted because of some reason. Mainly if a data transfer is going on & either you changed the usb mode or remove card from phone.

Actually gallary creates a hidden folder in which it stores thumbnails of your images & I assume that there must be a list sort of thing maintained for it, which may got corrupt & result in the problem you faced.

I am using mine memory card heavily & till date no probs.
