hi all, on thing i want to tell you about this phone, this phone makes Video calls with a 2MegaPixel Camera due to it's swivel mechanism, look ! it's not good feature, why ?... because when you make video calls the camera capture frames and send them to the other side, right ??.. ok, the 3G speed in this phone is around 384 KBPS, while the picture captured with a 2MegaPixel Camera is around / more than 1MegaByte, so how it would take to send 1 frame to the other side ??, it's better to use a VGA or CIF camera for video calling.....

Thanks For Reading

5700 is a OS9.2 phone not OS9.1. The OS9.1 Xpress Music Smartphone was the 3250.

I'll say that 5700 is better since it has OS 9.1 plus a higher sound quality...and its much cheaper....

Hi friend, thanks for that info. I didn't realize they could lock some function, like the videocall. I hope I could open it, the 3g function because its a great thing to use espacially when the phone is a modem for laptops. its very fast in 3g. the EDGE though maybe ok.....

@No Name @ WCER

there is no doubt that 5700 sound loudness is not the best even not comparable sometimes but as mentioned by VIP Blast it is crystal clear, I have even played mp3 files in my 5700 attached with external speaker system & let me tell you its superb same quality as my philips 3046 DVD player.

You can not throw a party on the basis of a phone's loudspeaker(be it any phone). But you can if your phone produce good quality sound & you have nice external speaker system & 5700 satisfy this to a great extent.

But still if you want very loud sound from loudspeaker than its not the phone.

@DaVE:
In fact this phone supports both 3G and video call but because the frequence this feature cannot be used in all the countries. For example in my country (Mexico) the 3G frequences suppported are 850/1900 so this phone cannot do videocall in my country due to its 2100 3G frequence instead of 850 or 1900. So for that reason my service provider disabled that function from every 5700 and many other phones with that 2100 3G freqence like N73, N76, etc.
In your case it could be that your service provider disabled that feature too because maybe in your country isn't supported that 3G frequence.

To wcer:
That's really awkward....because I have both 5300 and 5700.....and you can't even compare those 2.....5700's sound is really crystal-clear...the sound of 5300 is not of that good....and about the loudness, I will take an example:

You have a 5700 and an N73ME....everyone will say that the sound of N73ME is better, because it is a N-series phone, and its more popular, and its much louder, and so on, and so on....

But the fact is that even N73ME is louder, there are very rare Nokia phone which have a sound quality as high as 5700..months ago I used to say that only SE phones have a top quality sound, but since I acquired this phone, I can rivalize with SE phones really well, and I can even beat some of them......

Hey please check out the thread I made.....The link is in my last post...thanks...

hmm...too bad...but thx anyways aditya! now comes another question..i'm going to buy this phone soon...BUT,some of the user's opinion says it's not as loud as SE or even 5300..is it true? or it is just the problem of the firmware coz i've tried a 2nd hand one before at a dealer(but i dunno de firmware ver. which sounds lower) the music is as loud as 5300. but when i tried one friend's 5700,when i played music on it,whoah..i was shocked at the output voloume,it was 2-3 times lower than my old 5300...and i thought, what the h3ll? Its not supposed to sound like that! What do u suppose is the problem?
