Hi, I was about to buy a 5700 but the shop here in the philippines said that 5700 are not in the market anymore! All the shop here are no longer selling 5700! why is that?

That's true I need to wait such time, not because Nokia, that's because my service provider (telcel). They will send my phone to a Nokia care center and I could do it but I'm not able to do that because the nearest Nokia center is out of my town. That's the reason for the long wait.

very good music phone way better than SE walkman phones which are overhyped like ipods, but not as great as n91 which was the best and still is, but let face the truth mobile phones will never replace the proper triple AAA battery based mp3 players because mobile phones battery really sucks, i think 1500 mh should be the standard one, and i had listen to all from ipods, SE walkman, n91,n81, creative etc etc but the ultimate music devices are new sony mp3 players line up, they are costly but they have great battery life u can listen upto 40 to 50 hrs nonstop, and in sound quality belive me when it comes to sound quality SONY is the KING OF THE MOUNTAIN.

How can that nokia care guy be angry on u. He get paid for helping u the customer. This time go there and first give him a demo of ur problm and when he give ur handset back verify if the problem get resolved,

if not than ask him to replace this.

bottom line is -> YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER. And So you'll always be right.

ahmmmmm.. i have send my 5700 to the repair shop cause it doest on ...... they said it need a new version it took more than 2 weks after they installed it then the sa me thing happen wen it battery goes empty wen u try to charge it it doesnt seem to work just produces white lite then turn off wen the charger plug is conected................. this is so ,,,, pathetic,,,,..... i send it again for repair i send for 4 times but still the problem exists...... i buy new batteries and that cause me 1800 i bouht it at sm /...... wen i plug it to my 5700 it doesnt work ......

wats the pro blem wid this phone... i still have the waranty of the repair but im already shy to go bak ... cause i have send it 4 times and am afraid that the repair man wud get angry wid me for the 5th time i go their....

After 3 months of use this great phone I decided to take it to a Nokia care center to update the firmware from v3.27 to v4.21. The bad thing is that I'm going to wait 12 days!!
Has anyone experienced problems with v4.21??
5700 is wonderful!!

i had asked all the shops,
they said nokia 5700 got no new product anymore..

Try reinstalling the app and when it ask you to replace existing version, say yes. After this uninstall the app.

Me too had same problem with pc quite. I uninstalled it n installed itunes pro instead. It worked great. My 5700 also recognised converted m4a songs.

Using 5700(3.27)for 8 months without any problem .... very fast symbian phone, twisting part working great, better sound stereo speaker crystal clear then N81, N73 & 5610 (I tested & compared to my friend's phone N81, N73 & 5610)
.... I don't care about Camera coz I have digital Cam and i don't care about no WLAN coz 3G is quit fast enough for me to browse web & download ....

It was stopped due to the Volume Reduction Law.

5700 is a Loud Phone as you know.

as far as concerning to music clarity , 5610 is the king .

but, performance of 5700 is very good compared to 5610.

I have bought this phone recently and it is soon to judge about it and for now I just could say that it is beautiful and the sound quality is brilliant. I have a few questions:

1) How could I enable automatic keypad lock in this phone.

2) Is it possible to make folders in order to organize musics in the phone memory?

3) I am looking for a good Anti virus and also a dictionary. Do you have any suggestion?
