At the end of the day, sony ericsson are good you cant deny it but Nokia offers so much more for your money please comment if you agree.
Take the w850i for example...
its still over £200 and all you get is the walkman music player wich by the way is the same as all SE music players but without the mega bass (wich is aload of carp) and the walkman logo. A rubbish camera thats more like 1mp then 2mp (w850i users should agree with me here) And all the basic functions. Yes the screen is good and you get a memory card but now think that this new nokia 5700 will be priced around the same and you get everything you do in the walkman and....
A larger screen with a bigger physical size yet a good resolution ( this phones screen is the same as one found in Nokia N73 but smaller) wich means that it will be one of the best sreens around. Actually it will be identical to n80;s screen as the have he sam dimentions and the N80 i believe has the leading display on a phone to date. You get a dedicated audio chip wich isnt even found in SE and they are supposed to music phones?
And of course you get Sympian 9.2 3rd edition. Smart phone and 3G. And i think the twisting keypad is an advantage bacause its easy to switch applications and its really fast i watched it in action on www.youtube.com
You get all that more for the same price yet people are still judging, it just doesnt make sense.
Yes the nokia N-series is expensive but i think theyre worth it but this isnt but it may as well be because it matches the spacification....Yet nokia brought down the price.

well i do have w850i and i always listen 2 music thru loudspakers alla time full volume sometimes more than 12 hours a day and i still got some for the next day and if i played without a break it gives me around 16 Hours @ least and ma battery still new so wiz more time it will get better ..
otherwise i do like the shape and the idea of a smart and music fone in one package and i was always lookin for that but the pervious deviced didnt encourge me much as the new upcommin 5700 , specialy with da new faster CPU , RAM and Symbian 9.2 i see its like the perfect Package .. @ least for me .. i know nokia and ive used many nokia's as sonyericsson's and i would tell you both are good , yet SE gives u the better battey time and Rich music .. But i can see now Nokia is Goin Good towards music and batteries too , and after all the battery would give me 18 hours is Good enuff 2 save the day ! i have no prob to recharge ma battery everynite while im sleepin :) ..
SO u dont have to say that SE sux or Nokia wins , juz Both are good enuff with diff ways , and for sure i will keep my w850i till i check the 5700 and then decide which best for me .. thanks .

Nokia ruleeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! SE suck..nah iv just been to test both of my phones 6230i and W850i......i still prefer 6230i Nokia cant be beaten .fact!

maybe you're right actualy i didn't try to play music with loud speaker for a long time i use my walkman earphones all the time and the battery stand pretty well about 2.5 dayz sorry bro out.

why dnt you my m8 get ur walkman like i did, take out the headphones, put the volume on full and put the music on and then tell me how long it lasts (cos im wrong u see...) well ill tell you what will happen as ive already done it, each song you play out loud will take 4% or so of the battery off in total my w850i lasted 1hour and 12 minus so much for a walkman phone innit ha ha i aint sayin SE are bad im just stating the facts. peace.

Nokia music phones:
Hang all the time
the Memory cards always Format themself
The battery life Sucks on all Nokia music phones
and when this 5700 comes out it has a Symbian series 60 menu which is slow and comfunsing for first time users...all i have to say is Bye Bye Nokia hello SE!!

I agree with braap for eg SE w850i gives 7 hours of talktime and uses 950mAh battery and Nokia N73 uses 1100mAh battery and gives 6 hours of talktime symbian os will not eat that much battery both phone have same processor/C.P.U ARM 9 224 Mhz so is it possible for a phone to give large talktime than a phone with even powerful battery so just dont believe on what you see this phone uses 900mAh battery but powerful C.P.U so it will not drain as fast as people think most of cellphone uses two separate processor and three separate processors in smart phones Nokia might have been using two ARM 11 processor(not sure) instead of three processor so there is possibility that this phone should have good battery

Guys,for anyone that doubts the music sound quality on this phone.i own nokia 5300 and it sounds just like any high quality mp3 player(ipod,zen etc).so 5700 is an upgrade to 5300 and in the worst case it will have the same sound.i'm telling you,get a decent headphone,adjust the costum equalizer on the phone and you'll be very surprized.

who ever said that SE walkman have a good battery life - What a load of old SH*T!!!
If you listen to a walkman phone without the headphones through the loudspeaker the battery lasts exactly 47 minutes if you play music without a break!!!!!!! You do make me laugh! Thats why i swapped my W850i for a nokia n73 cos i like to share mymusic, listening to the n73 through the loudspeaker i can go for 5-7 hours without recharging. WIth SE i had to run home to recharge every hour, All you SE fanboy leave your phone to play music for an hour and then see whatthe battery on the phone is!!!!!!!!!
