hey ,
guys i m a big time SE fan....but i doubt this phone has good battery life for continuous music like 'W' series ...n does this phone come wit a good earphone or headphone......?but wat impresses me is the all round features.....n is the music as good as 'W' phone....?its got 3G,EDGE,16 million colours wit a 2 mega pixels.... reply...?

First time i am not agree with you my friend 786 first of all there is huge difference in cost of Nokia 6233 and SE W850i/W950i you cant compare this phone bcoz both phone are of different categories i am using Nokia 6233 too but problem you are facing i dont get at all the phone donot format memory by itself when you go to gallary and then to card when you press option there is option for format the memory card i have w700i too but surprisingly it hangs too when you play music through speakers the crackling sound you are saying is may be due to poor compraising of song however i will like to replace my 6233 with 5700 becoz its cool

I have an se w800i and i wud definatly consider this as a replacement. For anyone who is interested i hear that the price will be about £200. not bad considering what u are getting.
1. 2.2", 16m screen
2. dedicated music chip
3. cool design :)
4. expandable meory (up to 2gb i think)
5. 3g
6. and a 2megapixel camera
7. 3.5 earphone jack
and the list goes on.
As i have a w800i i like to have lots of media files on a fone so this shud be good for me. I was mostly impressed be the screen. That will make the photos even more imimpressive (just for you who will complain about the camera only being 2mp, i know se and other brands have 3mp and more. considering i have an se phone i wont be biased). over all this is looking good. does anybody know when i will b out?

wait people this phone is da BOMB at the moment but SE might come out with something like they did with the PS3 to XBOX360 bring a phone out which will demolish all Nokia music phones!
i currently own a Nokia 6233 and a SE W850i
i prefer the W950i for 1 Reason:
the memory card never Formats itself
it is Mechanically Stable
the Walkman is good
the Walkman Earphones are way to goood!!!!!
This is What always goes wrong with 6233:
the memory card always asks to be Formattted for no Reason at any time which i hate its so annoying.
the Headphones are crap
the speakers are loud but sometimes give crinkle noises
it is NOT mechanically stable
so all in All i prefer the W850i becuase its Mechanically Stable and i agree its made wiht cheap plastics and so on but i dont care about that the 6233 is well built but always breaks down which is annoying
so i still prefer the SE W850i becuase it gives me NO problems Nokia dooo!

In response the JAKS:
For one, SE Walkman phones have much longer battery life compared to Nokia counterparts =P
So for starter, Nokia will go flat when you listen to music long enough... so how are you going to enjoy that great 3D surround + awesome screen when it won't last a full long-range continental flight? LoL.

Definately this phone will have great audio quality as it a dedicated audio chip memory is expandable upto 2GB enough for 1500 high quality songs screen has 16 million colours one of best screen in the market i am surprised not with phone but from its cost cheaper than N73

Hello if you people like SE phones than go hell with SE i think one review is enough about this phone u all are just came here for fun if you dont like just avoid it if you like SE so much than go and join SE club and forum this phone will kick SE like football and that's why u all are worried about SE walkman SE well known for cheap plastic phone phone full of useless features camera are good but still useless my digital camera take better pics small screen and useless loudspeaker or split speaker music huh...

Hey Steve,there are 2 more colors available if you look on Nokia site.I had 4 SE walkman phones and i was disapointed of all 4.This Nokia 5700 will be my next smartphone becouse IS THE BEST,and SE doesnt has any phone to compete whit nokia 5700.SE is crap.

waweee dis fone gna be da bomb i was gna buy n73me till i saw dis babeee definetly better. big whop on 2 mpixel camera want good cam buy a digital 1.i hope its released soon im waiting. said no on the n73 on the last minute. still waiting nokia RELASE ITTTT!!! NOW

I can guarantee that this phone will have awufull materials and the joystick will jam from dust as Nokia hasn't got enough experience with this kind of input.
I liked Nokia very much until about 3 years ago when they decided to skip for cheaper materials and ugly design (i mean c'mon RED / WHITE)while the competition released better and better products (thumbs up SE). Also i'm not so thrilled about Symbian since on a portable device the OS is way too slow. Lot of functions yes, but way way too slow... and full of jams. Every time i've used a symbian powered terminal i got frustrated with response time.
With this phone Nokia will dig it's own hole as the price will be very high and the functionality will be mediocre:camera and music capabilities.
Nokia u need some time out for training.
